I'd appreciate hearing some ramifications of ruling that that either player on a team blocking would be considered "your block" (since you decide together who will do it). Would this cause problems?
I'm not sure you're asking the right question. The first thing to determine is whether your proposal is consistent within the teams rules. I find the teams rules to be confusing so I don't know the answer to that question but I feel like that's the starting point since the ruling isn't about an individual card but the system as a whole.

That seemed consistent to me, but I didn't want to rule that way without first considering if that would break something. Since it seems to be a "grey-area", I would be willing to sacrifice a bit of intuitiveness if it were going to create some huge problem.
This would allow a team to use PO twice in one turn since they are both being attacked.
