A while back, we used to do that. However, the ruling was changed to fit with the word "simultaneous." Now you can only play NJ with your own SoG.

I liked it better the old way. definitely more entertaining, and it made you think twice before playing sog nj. Also now confusion is doubly effective.

One of the reasons for changing the rule was so that fewer games would result in ties.  Now, a player with four souls still needs Son of God, and can't just wait for another SoG to tie the game up.

Hey,

On a somewhat related but somewhat different note.  In a teams game, can I play New Jerusalem with my Teammate's Son of God?

Yes, It was ruled that you could at Nationals, as The team is playing them simultaneously.

Just count down from three to make sure both cards hit the table simultaneously. :D

Nah, the Red Sox lost, the Dodgers are up by two, the Angels (Since we were in LA) are up by one, and the Big Bear is in hand with a bullfrog.
