I've add the new promos Shobach, Goshen and Spirit as a Dove as well as updated the TexP release to correct a few errors people pointed out in the original version.
Download the TexP RTS file with all the new promos(!!!) by clicking on this link. (http://97.64.151.67/Temp/TexP.zip)
Extract both files from the download using your favorite zip software.
Save the cards.txt file to your C:\Program Files\RTS folder.
Save the pics folder to your C:\Program Files\RTS folder and say "Yes" when it asks if you want to overwrite existing files.
That should be all you need to do. If you encounter problems let me know and I'll try to help you

GOshen is the only one that we can use in RTS right not though correct? because it is the only one that is released so far that I know of.

We couldn't use Haman until after a State and we couldnt use Gates until after a Regional so I'm not sure that we can use them all. I would like to know when they are going to be released though so I can know when to put them into my decks

People were legally using both Haman and Gates as early as March when I added them to RTS. You don't have to own a card in real life to use it in RTS or ROOT.

ANd I was told by Xcalebx that a deck that I made with Haman was illegal when I played it in early April since there had not been a state. He forced me to use it as a no SA card.
This has been a CONSTISTENT problem with ROOT. The rules are not clear and too many people have interpretations that cause confusion when games are played online. We cannot always appeal to a "judge" for a quick ruling on things so it is best to have CLEAR rules outlined about what can and cannot happen that is easily accessed for these games.
So For the Record, ANY card that can be found on RTS at ANY time is legal?

Yes. Any card officially printed by Cactus and added to RTS can be used in any ROOT game. Everyone has access to all the cards and everyone can use them.
**note** That's one of the primary reasons I hurry to get the RTS updates out ASAP for you guys when new cards are released.

Apparently at that time I was told you couldn't play unreleased cards.............................sorry?

For the record, both Spirit as a Dove and Goshen were added to the tournament application for this fall's local tournaments.
Also, Gabe, the link did not work for me...told me the source file could not be read... help... ???

Gabe, downloaded the file, unzipped it, nothing happened. Don't see anywhere special where I need to save the files as you suggested, what do I need to do?

He answered this in the first post:

My RTS guide has similar instructions for finding and replacing files as well.

Hi Kingsman,
The quick and easy way to get RTS with all the updates is to download this zip file (http://66.43.207.54/Temp/RTS.zip) from my churches server.
If you'd rather instead each part individually I think that you can find FOOF/RoA on the same page as the original RTS install (link at Redemption Nexus) and then add TexP and promos from the link found in a thread at the top of the RTS players section of the boards.

ok. i did this and copied all the stuff but it didnt come up on rts. is there something im missing???
here's the dilemma:
i downloaded, unzipped, copied, and pasted the files into their respective folders. the texp images would not show up in rts and in the folders. what is going on.
i also did this with the RoA and FooF cards and the EXACT same thing happened

I had to switch computers. So I tried this, I replaced my old pics... and now I don't have pics for a lot of the cards. Help Gabe?

All you need to do is just download the .zip file of RTS, take the RTS file out of the .zip folder (putting it somewhere different than your current RTS folder), then transfer your decks over.

Here's all you need for your pics to work:
In your RTS folder there should be a folder called pics. Inside this pics folder should be all the picture files for RTS.
One common mistake I've seen a lot of players make is that they have another folder called pics inside of the pics folder. This will not work.
You also have to make sure that RTS knows you want to display pics. You can change this setting form the Options menu under Card Graphics.

Well here's what I did. I got the pics folder off of the link in the beginning of this thread. I replaced that with the pics folder in RTS. Now a few of the expansions don't have pics. ???
I'm really confused....
EDIT: So the pics I am missing are the ones for the priests, foof, and g/h starter sets. Does anyone have the pics for just those that I could put into the pics folder?

I think what you need to do is copy the pictures from the link at the beginning of the thread into your old pics folder (Don't copy the folder itself, which is the problem Gabe was talking about with folders within folders. Just copy the pictures).
EDIT: Those pics have disappeared from your pics folder entirely? That's strange.

No, its easiest just to start with the fresh new folder of RTS and copy your deck files into there for ease of use. The reason I say this is because you dont have to try to make it work... the .zip folder is fully functional and updated as it is.
Once I'm finished with my final projects, Im going to make EVERYONE's lives easier by making flash videos to explain the process, so hopefully theres no room for error.

So apparently my RTS decided to quit working last night so I had to delete it and reinstall. When I go to the **The OFFICIAL Redemption Table Simulator Guide** to download the zip file it takes me to an internet explorer page that can not be found instead of installing. So I went to captainofthehost.com and downloaded RTS. The only problem is I am missing all the new promos and TxP. I went to the TexP and NEW PROMOS for RTS to get them and it also went to an internet explorer page that could not be found instead of installing. Any ideas what is going on?

I think you have to right click the links and click "save as," if you left click like normal it won't work and you'll get the page that you're getting right now.

The server that hosts the files probably tried to reboot and got stuck. I'll get it back online tomorrow.
