After playing the two games with Patriarchs, I came to what I feel is a reasonable conclusion:While at face value, having all of the best defensive enhancements in the game (Haman's Plot, Death of Unrighteous, Balaam's Disobedience, Gibeonite Trickery, All the Interrupt/Remove) seems good, in practice I rarely had initiative to play them, and never actually drew any of the interrupts. Furthermore, the characters both offensively, and defensively are just downright atrocious. When your best rescue is Ehud+Cov/W Noah or Enoch+Blessings/Patriarch Travels, you're in trouble. My game against Priests was lost on account of never drawing an EC, and then having plenty of souls for him to rescue. any of the 3 12 defense Demons is enough to stop most everything the Patriarchs offence can do - Especially if the Demon is Prince of This World, and the Patriarchs player can't find Travels.Against TxP the problem was similar - Philistine Garrison is capable of defeating almost anything the Patriarchs can throw at it - To make matters worse Outpost can recur him even if I do manage to do something tricky like Enoch+Cov W/ Salt + BlessingsAdmittedly, I was playing Patriarchs at 154 - However, I don't see this as a truly bad decision, I'm not racing for Dominants (Oddly enough I drew DoN in both games, though I didn't need it) so essentially I'm just playing 3 of each card in a 50 card deck, Perhaps I would have been slightly more consistent at 50-56, but I'm not convinced I would not have run into the same problems.Had I played a set without an Immune to Lone Heroes character in the first two rounds, I don't think I'd be done yet.
Game C: I'll be ghosted by jbeers285. We both figure I would've won anyway.
This is a clear overrating of PA and underrating of TxP because RDT is one of the best players I have faced.
I was able to build my deck if my opponent is ready

Considering that TxP just took out AP (which was ranked as high as 3rd place by one player), I'll consider that some vindication Quote from: theselfevident on June 10, 2013, 10:08:19 PMI was able to build my deck if my opponent is readyI agree that it is better for these games to be played rather than just ghosted. However, I'm not sure that it is fair for someone to be playing 2 different decks in the same tournament. Maybe it would be better if RDT took over Jbeers' spot (since PA is eliminated now). That's still not as ideal as a completely new player who hasn't seen anyone's deck yet. However we might have to take the best option available. What do you think Prof A?
As the person who has to play the winner of the C game I would very much like to see this game played out!!!! I personally think C/D has a very good chance if they deck build smart and play their cards right. If its not a conflict of interest I would be more then happy to volunteer myself, build a deck and play in place of Jbeers.
If you win round 1 you would be facing yourself tho...
