Andy, keep NJ in your deck and in your hand.  When you draw SoG you'll be thankful.

Sean, welcome to the tournament.  I also need a game this week.  I'll look for you when I'm on :)

I'd like to join in on the fun.  Do I need to recite a secret password or something?

Hey Sean, you just need to send me $20 to enter (I've pmed my address.)     In all seriousness, just read the first 2 posts on page 1 of this thread.  If you have any questions, then feel free to ask. This has been going for a while (5 months I think) so most everyone can answer your questions.  I'll try to answer any questions that you may have as well.  Just so you know, this particular tourney ends at the end of February, so you have to start winning and quick!  The higher the ranking the more the bonus points (3 games a week max).  Good luck and thanks for joining!

@ Captain or 77Matthew:  Whatever happened to your game last week?  Who ghosted on who?  or can it just be dropped?

There are no winning decks that do not use both Son of God and New Jerusalem.  What does that tell you?
May you prosper greatly!

Andy, if you really want to use them both more often the best things you can do are

-Cut your deck size
-Increase your Defence Size
-Increase your drawing

The last thing you want to do is get rid of NJ ;).

I beat Tsavong Lah in an OTS 5-1, but the game was much closer than the score indicates.  It was particularly fun matching up almost identical defenses against each other and going against an offense that I had recently been considering switching in as well.

Caleb challenged me to an OTS today which I won 5-4.

Has anyone else had problems when playing against Caleb where he plays his cards wrong to gain an advantage?  It seems to happen at least once in every game we play and there were three different instances in our game today.  I understand that we all make mistakes and play cards wrong sometimes.  I'm raising this question here for three reasons:

1) In our games these mistakes are always in Calebs favor, never his opponents.  If they were "honest mistakes" I imagine it would go both ways.

2) I've seen a consistent pattern, it happens every time we play.  Caleb and I play a lot of games together on RTS.

3) Whether it's intentional or not, other people need to be aware that it's happening so they can be sure that Caleb is playing his cards correctly.
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

I've seen it in most every, if not every game, that I've played with him.  I don't want to go into specific instances because I don't want to come across as bagging/trashing on Caleb.  I simply keep a closer eye on him and his cards and correct him when he doesn't play something by the rules.

I have not noticed this in my games with Caleb.  I often see people play a card incorrectly, and occasionally do it myself as well.  I simply correct them when I see it, and accept correction when I do it.  When we are in doubt, we'll look in the REG or ask on the forum.  I haven't noticed any patterns with any particular people that would lead me to suspect that these situations were any more than an honest mistake.

Of course if Gabe, SS, and Jan have all noticed it, perhaps I should pay better attention.  However, until further examination, I would chalk it up to being innocent mistakes masquerading as a pattern (kind of like Gabe sees my view on the RNG programming of RTS :)

Beat Tsavong Lah 5-4. He even discarded my NJ, but I AoCp'd all but one of his characters, which he proceded to remove from the game to stop the next RA. Good game.

Did you message me on Hamachi? I never got anything. I wasn't at my computer anyway, but it's weird to me that I didn't have a chat window when I got back.

Anyway, I'll try and be on most of the day tomorrow to keep an eye out for you.
