Hey,

Okay, I'm in.  A couple questions.  The "week" resets Saturday night?  If you play more than three games in a week, do the best three games count or the first three?

The first 3 games against 3 different opponent's count.
   The higher the ranking you beat, the more bonus points you get.  So, beating high ranking members will catch you up quick!

The week actually resets on Monday...you have until Sunday night to get 3 games in with opponents who haven't played 3 games yet.

Finally, don't be discouraged by the leads (you've only missed a week and a half of this season), a player of your caliber should catch up quickly.  The season ends in February.

P.S. Gabe has put a FSpromo up as the prize.  The catch is that you don't have to necessarily be in first but play plenty of games (to your max of 3.)

Oh, and Tim, the more various Hamachi networks you join, the more variety of the opponent's you can play.

*Edit*  I just noticed:  why is Cameron the Conquerer on the online tournament network (which incidentally cut Tim Maly out) when he's not in the SOT?  Can someone explain this?

I was in that network for a while (when I was planning on joining), but I quit it a few weeks ago.  It doesn't show up for me.  If you still see me in it for some reason, go ahead and evict me.  (Don't ban because I might join later if there is room and I play the SOT.)

This is the network that's being used by everyone in the tournament.  It's for tournament participants only so that it doesn't fill up and we can all find each other anytime we're online.

Group = Online Redemption
Password = 2009

Hopefully, we can get you into the main one Tim so you can challenge pretty much everyone!

If you still can't get in the main one then
 there is this one to Tim....
Name is: Captain's Network
Password is: captain

Hey,

Ah!  The '2' means it was the second game, not that they won twice, it makes so much more sense now.

One more question, how would an On-The-Spot challenge affect a previous challenge?

Well, lets get started, I'll challenge Mehman.

Sorry, the numbers weren't more clear.  The number does reflect how many games they've played this week.  The W/L lets everyone know the result to double check their own number.  Both together helps me keep track of the whole system.  The number of the games helps everyone keep track of WHO to challenge.
   OTS challenges should not affect official challenges.  Using you as an example:
 You have challenged Mehman but he's not on.  While logged on Hamachi, you see Stamp online but Mehman is not on; you can challenge Stamp "on the spot".  That game will be official.  If Mehman jumps on, then you can play that game too.  The OTSs gives you a chance to get games in while lining up your official one.
  Another Example for clarity:  I've played 2 OTS while waiting to find a good time to play Prof (my official challenge).  However, I must play Prof by Sunday Night since that is an official challenge.

Trust me, the system gets more simple as you get used to it.

Speaking of which, I looked for you last night, but I guess you were busy.  I'm available now, but don't see you.  I probably will be around late tonight, and then again on Sunday night.  I'm looking forward to our game.

Yeah, apparently we are ships passing in the night....I was on late Weds. looking for you.  Carolina played late last night so I was watching the game.  I got off around 4:15 pm today to spend time with family.  Oh and I'm on now...I'll try to wait on you tonight...if we continue to miss each other then Sunday it will be!

Soul Seeker, I don't see anything in the rules specific to the type of game we have to play for official challenges.  Can we challenge a player to a T2 game provided we know that they play T2?  Obviously it wouldn't be fair to challenge someone to a T2 game if they've never played that format.

I'm not against it: the playing of T2.  My only request is that both players agree to it.  Also, because we've never dealt with this before, I'd rather leave it to OTS challenges.  That way, no one feels "pressured" into it by an official challenge.

Hmmm, looks like everyone is finding their answer to the Garden Tomb decks.  ;)

I can't play our challenge during lunch but I'm sure you and I will see each other on at a time we can get our game in considering the number of times we play each week.  :)

I beat SS in a tight game 5-2.  It could have gone either way depending on a few weird situations including both of us forgetting the SA of the "anti-shuffler" LS at one critical point, and a very strange RTS glitch that wouldn't allow me to shuffle any cards back into my deck.

P.S.  xCaleBx, now that I'm free for the new week, I'd be glad to accept your challenge if it still stands.  I'm also hoping to play Gabe this week, so save me a spot if you can :)

It looks like I'm full already and the week hasn't even started.  This tells me that I must not be very good since everyone REALLY wants to play me :)

Game #1 - xCaleBx
Game #2 - Gabe
Game #3 - Janissary
