Janissary is right.  I won 5-1, but it was totally due to draw.  We played a second game for fun and he won 5-4 in a really close one :)

For my next challenge, I'll challenge Tsavong Lah who is also tied with me in pts and who I haven't played yet.

Soul Seeker beat me 5-0 in an OTS.  He played perfectly.  Well done.

Challenging Gabe, my only loss last week.

I've already accepted my manditory challenge for the week.  I only have one challenge left so I'd like to use it with someone I haven't played yet.  I'll be happy to play you again next week.

I'm not sure you can actually decline in this case.  The rule is that you can decline a challenge if you are already in a challenge.  There is no limit to the number of challenges that can be made in a week (as long as you haven't played 3 games).  If you have already finished your first challenge, then you are not "in a challenge" anymore.  In which case, I'm not sure you can decline Janissary.

Of course you could request for him to retract his challenge so you could play someone different, and he could choose to do that for you.  Assuming that it isn't late enough in the week that we are past the "retraction deadline".  Assuming that we actually institute a "retraction deadline".  Any word on that SS?

I was under the impression that this was changed last season. Since people were posting early monday with three challenges and it ended up locking some people out of games, I think we decided that you can decline any challenges except for the very first one to allow people a shot at playing the first place player. I might be wrong on this, though. SS?

Also, I accept your challenge Prof!

I hear what you're saying and completely understand.  Let's do this then....the first challenge (I list them in order) is official and can't be refused.  The subsequent two can be refused if there is someone else you would rather play.  This is similar to what Prof. Underwood was saying and still abides by the rules.

According to this I don't have to accept Janissary's challenge because I've already accepted and played my first challenge of the week.  This allows people to choose at least one person they want to play instead of getting tied up in three challenges.  I understand the desire to avenge a loss and I'll certainly give Janissary his chance in the near future.

Prof just beat me 5-2. We had a great game that lasted forever after we both had a little LS drought, but he won out in the end (with his last offensive enhancement, too!). Great game, thanks!

It was a great game with Tsavong Lah.  My favorite play of the whole night was when Confusion was used to go through the other person's deck and remove Confusion.  Good times!

As for the challenge thing, there is definitely confusion here on the number of challenges for the week.  I thought that the rule was changed so that you could only make 1 challenge at a time (to prevent people from making all 3 challenges at once and locking people up).  But I thought that it was still the rule that if you were done with your last challenge than someone else could then challenge you.  I guess we just need SS to clarify :)

Speaking of challenges, if I still am able to make a 3rd challenge for the week, I will officially challenge Soul Seeker.

As for the multiple challenges in a week: personally, I could go either way.  I want people to feel free to play who they want, while at the same time not locking someone out when 3 people jump on Monday and all challenging the same person effectively giving them no decision in who they play. Also, I like some challenges to stand, so no one is ducking out of them either; which has been the case in the past (whether on purpose or not).  I like the idea of the first challenge of you stands, and you have freedom with your next 2 challenges to pick your games.
However, I'm willing to go with the majority on this.
Here is what I'm hearing so far.  Correct me if I have interpreted this wrong.
*EDIT* If you finish early in the week your first challenge, then:
To be challenged once, and to have 2 challenges to use yourself:
     Gabe
     Tsavong Lah

All challenges stand, regardless of who made them:

That's not quite what I'm saying.  If 3 people challenge me at the same time, then I think only the 1st one would be mandatory and I could decline the other 2 if I wanted (because I'd already be in a challenge).

However, if I finish my first challenge with someone and then after that someone else challenges me, then I am available and I think I should have to accept that challenge.

P.S.  xCaleBx, I already challenged SS for my 3rd game for this week.  But next week, I'm all yours :)
