This is the network that's being used by everyone in the tournament.  It's for tournament participants only so that it doesn't fill up and we can all find each other anytime we're online.

Group = Online Redemption
Password = 2009

I challenge raven.
you can't challenge be cause it's against the rules to challenge someone whose above 3 spots

Who to Challenge:
      1.  You may only challenge someone, who is no more than 3 spots beneath you or 4 if you are in a positional tie with someone (but no upper limit).

see?

Andy, did you read what you posted?

It seems to me you are contradicting yourself.  The rules say there is NO upper limit, but a 3 LOWER limit.

I can't find the standings (link someone?), but it seems that challenge is totally valid.

actually, the first week doesn't count for that.  There are no official "rankings" (which also means no bonus points) during the first week.  I just leave it leftover from the previous tourney and add new players on the bottom.

Plus, so everyone has an equal shot at a FSPromo.  You can challenge more than three down if everyone around you is maxed out on games.

it's very fair....everyone starts with a clean slate.
   What I don't think is fair is a new player (for example: RED or Gabe or Sauce) jump on and in the first week beat last month's three winners and get max bonus points and be way out in front.  It's better if everyone starts from a clean slate and work it out during the first week.

Plus, if I'm not mistaken...Jannissary finished last place last month, so by your reasoning: he can challenge anyone.

Either way, it is legal for Jannissary to challenge you.

What exactly doesn't sound fair to you, Andy?  It seems to me like soul seeker has gone to great lengths to make things very fair for everyone.

It is fair. That's how the rules are setup. And I was last place last month anyway...

When you go to a tournament in real life and nobody is ranked to start the tournament and you're randomly paired against another player - is that fair?

Why not play now and get it out of the way?  It will keep scheduling conflicts from happening later and "ghost" points.

for one jani isn't on and i figure it'd be a good idea to warm up by me and red playing our game just before i play my game with jani and warming up is always a good thing even in exercising  :laugh:
