Whoah! Why did I get all three games recorded? Mine and Godspeed's game did not count. I still have a game left, and it's against Godspeed. There were.......misunderstandings about the cards that led to both of us deciding not to count the game. So I will tell you when I play him for real.

oh and another reason is it'll take away the fun and the only word that'll come into my mind is "win"
Is wanting to win bad? :-p

That is true, so why not play for fun though...If you win congrats, if not you had fun. This is just up to you, I just hate to see ya exclude yourself.

Raven,

Please don't stop playing because prizes are involved. You are a valued player and your playing and input are much appreciated. Stick with it and continue to play for fun, cause you never know what will happen.

Raven, please stay in. We appreciate any players we can get, and experinced players even more, so we'd all appreciate it if you stayed. Also, for the prizes, I am now not going to play as competitively as I was, cause I'm realizing it's just for fun. So I'm going to be trying out new decks, and I don't really care about prizes. Don't let that get you down. Please stay.

Thanks,
Fireninja

p.s. Gabe, what are the prizes going to be? ;)

well this tournament started out for fun but prizes are coming in and i see a sort of unfair disadvantage for me.
is there a way to split everyone up and make groups depending on experiance?

Fireninja and I played our final challenge for the week. My little deck against his brutal monster. The longer our game went the more I got worried. He had a seemingly endless defense that continued to wear me down. We learned and agreed that playing sloppy online play will cost you, as well as instilling a habit of playing sloppy in face-to-face tournaments. Final score was 5-3   777Godspeed, but the game could have gone either way at anytime. It is nice to play in a tournament enviroment that encourages outlandish, off the wall and at times freakish decks. Long live thinking outside the bun.  mmmmm Taco Bell sounds good about now.

Originally, Stamp and I were supposed to play our game Wed evening, but then he wasn't able to make it for a reason that I don't remember.
Then we were going to play Thur evening, but then he wasn't able to play for an awesome reason of bringing a friend to the Lord.
Then we were going to play this evening, but I've been around for the last several hours and haven't seen him.

What happens in this case point wise.  According to the rules listed in the first post, Stamp would get 2 points (because he challenged me), and I would get 0 points.  However, I have been available at all the times we were supposed to play, so it seems like it should be the other way around.  In this case, it won't make a difference, because I can't catch SoulSeeker.  However, I think this rule should be thought through again before the next round :)

I accept the challenge.

Caleb and I just finished our game and what a bruiser it was. Final score was 5-4  777Godspeed. There was only a one round difference, if Caleb had stopped my RA he would have won on his next turn. Close games like that are alot of fun. I am trying to take my own advice and not play lazy/sloppy, but I still made a couple mistakes and did a couple oversights on territory management and what my opponent had active in territory also.

Godspeed,
Mike

Here are the final standings (with points) after the first month of this tournament: which leads to the seeding of this month's lineup.  Check first page:  new rules suggested by Prof. and RR in effect.
   Rank:  Name:            Points:
     1.   Soul Seeker        40
     2.  Prof Underwood    38   (2 points added because Stamp was unavailable)
     3.  Godspeed            37
     4.  FireNinja              33
     5.  Stamp                 19
     5.  Caleb                  19
     7.  RR                      14
     8.  Tsavong Lah         13
     9.  Jannissary            10
     10.  New Raven          4

@ Stamp:  Since you were agreeable to it:  I gave Prof the 2 points.  He couldn't catch me regardless though because I won all 3 games against the top 3.

@ Prof:  The rule is meant to reward the person who tried to have the game (which you did 3 times).  Thankfully, Stamp was okay with you getting the 2 points which is what the spirit of the rule is for.

Yeah, but it looks to me that you only played 4 games max.   BUT, you could have played a possible 18 games and lost them all and still ended up in 6th.  Sometimes, volume and perseverance counts for something too.
