Yeh, I think it's common courtousy not to give away another player's deck if they haven't talked about it openly.  If someone wants to make their deck public, it should be up to them.

I played a great non-sanctioned game against Soul Seeker last night.  He played up to his potential and didn't make any mistakes (that I noticed).  After skillfully denying me rescue #5, he took his fifth soul the following turn to win 5-4.

I haven't played Prof yet.  I hope to do so this week.
Assuming that you are within 3 spots of me, I gladly accept.

Being the last week, and being in a tie for first, I would hesitate to accept at the risk of only getting 2 points for a win.  Jon, can we look at this rule for the next month.  This is the second time that this has come up where someone has challenged me that was outside of my bracket range.  I would really like to be able to play anyone.  Could we simply make the following rules?

1.  You may only challenge who is no more than 3 spots beneath you (but no upper limit).
2.  If you beat someone above you, then you get 3 points + however many spots above you they were (perhaps with a limit of bonus 5).
3.  If you beat someone below you, then you only get 3 points. (this would give lower players an advantage and keep rankings tighter)

Maybe For each 2 spots higher you challenge you gain one additional point. That way if one person tied with you (but they are the one above you) challenging them doesn't net you an extra point. it also stops any cap because in order to gain a +5 points you'd have to challenge +10 spots up.

For the 3rd time (Mierz, Gabe, Raven), I encourage you to stick with this tourney.  If Redemption is going to grow there NEEDS to be a solid online presence.  There are too many people out there who don't have people to play with right where they live.  These people need a place to play or they'll drop the game entirely.

That is one reason why I feel like this tournament is so important.  And we need people of all skill levels to play.  That way someone could get online and no matter how good they are they would be able to find someone who they had a chance against.  So we need the champs like Mierz and Gabe, for those people out there who think they are unbeatable :)  We also need Raven, Tsavong, RDT (just going by rankings, no offense intended), for the people who are not very confident in their game yet.  Each of us is an important part of making this work.

Please don't quit, just as we are getting started.

True, but that doesn't mean that everyone has to be in the tourney.  I played as many games or more this past week and none were for a tourney or contest.  I also got to play three new people I'd never played before.  I thoroughly enjoyed that. :)

Personally, I have more fun picking up random games with whomever is available than stressing over who I have to play for a tournament and when we can match our schedules and how many games I need to get in this week.

Because I do support the online Redemption play, I'm also going to put up some prizes for the next round of the tournament.  Nothing to fancy, just some extras from my personal collection.  It wouldn't make much sense to compete for my own prizes or to keep someone else from getting them.

Yeah, wow, I'm sorry. That didn't even occur to me; I just thought it was a particularly cool game. I removed my comment, though I think it might be too late. My bad. :-\

It was an awesome game. Just goes to show what some off the wall deck designs are capable of. It's not a big deal, most players know my playing style, but not always what brigade I'm gonna be messing with. I do look forward to a rematch, though.

Why am I in fourth? doesn't the new week start today? and therefore the new ranking?

And I think Gabe said he's offically done. I would love for him to stay, but if he'd rather play pickup games, hey, that's cool. I think we should now stop pushing for him to stay.

Anyhow, who would be in first, me or the prof? we are tied in points, but I have beaten him both games for the tourney. So Am I in first?

You're in fourth because I have had a relaxing day away from the office with the family.  I'll have it fixed when I'm done posting here.

Mark...in regards to your rule suggestions:  I like them and I will make the change at the end of this week with the addition to RR's suggestion.

And Gabe, that was a great game, I thoroughly enjoyed it despite not testing the aspect of the deck that I wanted to test.  I agree with you:  I finally played a pretty flawless game against you.

xCaLeBx and I played an OTS. It was a good game. I don't think he drew more than 1 hero and my deck was on a roll this game against his defense. The game had the potential to go either way at anytime, but I was able to pull out a win 5-2 this game.

I also challenge Fireninja for his 3rd game of the week, to give me a shot at 1st (as well as revenge for the last 2 games:)).

I accept SS challenge for my 2nd game of the week.

I accept Stamp's challenge for my 3rd game of the week (assuming that it is for full points).  I assume that it would be since his name is only 3 spots below me on the list.  However, I would appreciate confirmation from SS since his ranking is technically 4 spots below mine (although not if I am actually ranked 2nd instead of 1.2 :))

If a game with Stamp would not count for full points, then I challenge Godspeed for my 3rd game of the week.
