That however, was an official tournament. This is much more of ranked fun matches.

And neither of us were able to use SoG+NJ, which made for an interesting game. :)

Also, SS, does the rule about only challenging three spots up or down apply to OTS challenges? Or more specifically, do I earn points for that last game? ;)

I've been playing...it can be anyone...the higher rank risks more with an OTS challenge.  So you gain more for going after a higher rank.  I did that so people could get in their three games (I still prefer if a lower player challenges a higher player on the OTS, so no one feels picked on.)

was the FireNinja vs Tsavong Lah game official or not?

As far as Haman Plot, I personally feel it's pretty cheap to play that card on RTS (there is no real consequence).  You will never know if someone rips it or not.  I'll let a vote be taken to allow the card or not in this tourney.  If it is allowed, then it can be mechanically ripped but not in real life (so be aware of this when you vote.)

In this type of tournament all cards should be available for use. As for ripping HP.........this is a for fun tournament, so I would vote NO ripping required. As for an official tournament, I'd still vote NO ripping required. It is an online tournament for goodness sake. Just my thoughts.

I vote you have to rip it. Unless the maker of the card can tell me that they still would have made it without the rip, they just thought that it would be better if you had to rip it. I think it's too powerfull of a card without that last little bit, and that's why it was made that way. So I say NO using it for the tourney.

Well, I don't remember who won anyway. I think it was just for fun, so unless he wants to count it and remembers the final score I'd probably say no.

As for Haman's Plot, I would vote that it be allowed just because there's nothing at stake in the tournament; it's all about getting better and enjoying the game. Plus, I don't really use HP in the first place except in one deck that I've been playing around with the past few weeks, so it's not a big deal anyway. ;)

I was thinking our match was a normal ladder challenge, so you would get points accordingly.  I think OTS can be anyone.

That was a question for soul seeker, but then I realized that "SS" could totally apply to you too. Sorry about that. :D

I also vote to let any card be able to be used.  I have not used a HP in any game for about 2 years at this point, and don't plan to.  However, I have no problem with someone else using one on me.  I also don't think they should have to rip one in real life.

I'd much rather get to at least go into battle and get killed by HP, than be ignored and not get to even try to block :)

Well this has not been my week :)

I lost to Fireninja.
I lost to Gabe.
I won against Tsavong Lah (but we're not sure if the game counted because he might have already had 3 games this week).
I lost to Godspeed.

Not a solid performance in the next to last week of our tournament :)

That wasn't a tournament game though as I've resigned from the tournament. ;)

Prof Underwood and I played and it was a close game. I finally beat his Red deck. Unfortunately, he made a couple critical errors that may have turned the tide of the game and drawing minimal defense didn't help him either, against a Defenseless deck. If memory serves, the final score was 5-4  777Godspeed.

Okay, so my game with fireninja was unofficial, so Prof can have the points for beating me, and that will be my third challenge this week.

Great game with 777. I came out on top, 5-2. But his offense heavy against my defense heavy made for a great game. I look forward to another game soon! :)

@ STAMP
will you be able to squeeze our challenge in today?

STAMP and I just finished our game and great game it was. STAMP won 5-4, but that is just the ending score. Neither of us were able to make an RA for the first several rounds, allowing us to setup our territories and have some good battles. There was also alot of ducking, dodging, weaving, slipping and sliding around eachothers Offense and Defense also. All and all, a great game. If STAMP had not pulled off the RA and then SoG the other half of the 2liner the score would have been filpflopped giving me the win on my next RA, as STAMP would not have been able to stop my RA. That makes for some exciting gameplay.

Godspeed,
Mike
