Hey Stamp, I'm still not sure how far apart our time zones are. I should be able to play starting at about 10:00 CA time. Will that work for you?

STAMP... I hope you weren't waiting for me Saturday morning... I can't believe I TOTALLY forgot. I am so sorry... I feel really bad... you deserve the ghost point definitely... sorry for that...  :-[

I'd love to challenge you starting tomorrow if you can bear with me again...  :)

Whereas it is Monday at this point, and
Whereas Jannissary and I have the same number of points and therefore I know I can challenge him, and
Whereas he beat me last week and I'd like a chance to even the score...

Therefore be it resolved that I challenge Jannissary for this week :)

ANNOUNCEMEMT: I will be gone this week starting Thursday early morning and then I'll be coming back on early Sunday morning. Please don't challenge me as I will be busy preparing for the debate tournament(that's where I'll be). I will try to get in my games, but I doubt I will. Please only OTS, I'd appreciate it.

As such, I decline my challenge towards Stamp. Maybe next week.  :)

I am not sure how I feel about this.  On the one hand, I'd like to be willing to work with a player who has conflicts come up like FN is talking about.  On the other hand, we all have stuff happening in our lives, and I don't think it is good for the tournament for players to be unchallengable all week just because they are busy or away for a couple days.

It seems that the most fair thing would be for a player in FN's position to be allowed to be challenged.  They could still play between now and Thur, or at last resort they could play Sun afternoon or evening.  Once that first challenge is made, then FN could refuse all other challenges within the current rules for the tournament and could just look for OTS games.  Then if it gets to the end of the week and the challenge game never happened, then the one challenger would get ghost points.

As for pulling out of a challenge that someone makes themselves, I think that should be fine (especially at the beginning of the week like this).  The only problem that I see here would be someone challenging someone and then pulling out at the end of the week when they decide they don't have time to play.  At that point, there might not be other people with available games for the person challenged to play, and they would miss out on their ghost points.  Perhaps there could be a cutoff for when in the week a person could retract a challenge?

Captain only drew 2 Heroes the whole game and only got to make 2 RA's.  Not exactly the fairest draw.  The result was a 5-1 win for me but I don't think it would be nearly as lopsided if we were to play again. ;)
