Hopefully someone can help me fairly quickly. I'm trying to back up my decks on RTS so I can install Windows 7 and I can't seem to find them. I got to Program Files-> RTS and all that is there are the starter decks. Do I have to do something to be able to view them outside of RTS???

Do this:

Open RTS, and go to the Open or Save deck menu in the deckbuilder, then, from there, you can find exactly where you saved all your decks.

My puter got reset because of a virus and I am trying to re-install RTS and hamachi.

1. How do I get hamachi again? (I forgot how I got it in the 1st place!

)
2. I installed RTS and keep getting an error message--"the cards.txt text file cannot be found!" and I dont know what to do! $:-\$

1. The Hamachi link is in the guide.
2. Make sure you follow the instructions for Method #1 completely, and it should work.

I can't get the zip file to work. I put it on and it says there is an error and will not open.
The error message: this error occurred in "tmr_Timer": line number 20: (err#339) Component 'MSWINSCK.OCX" or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid (Originated with RTS)

I try to delete to reinstall and start again from the beginning, and it gives me the prompt: "someone or something is using the pics and cannot be deleted. (all my applications are closed so it's not me) Also, I can't even move the folder from the desktop to program files. It's locked where it is and will not open.

So now I can't play RTS or delete an unusable folder on my desktop. I would like to do one or the other.

EDIT: Nevermind...I'm dumb. (I still don't like the idea that I can't move the one folder off my desktop that has RTS Pics because "someone else is using them" but at least I got RTS working.)

Yeah, it sounds like you figured it out, but you just have to keep reading for the extra files.

As far as not being able to move it, thats an issue with your computer, and I'm not sure how to fix it.

Restart. Windows still thinks that some program is using the files. You'll be able to delete the folder after you restart (which clears your cache).

I just used the link for hamachi and it took me to logmein hamachi2 is this the right hamachi? I'm confused

Any version of Hamachi should work.

@Ring Wraith, you can easily put RTS on a Mac, you simply need to be running the Windows OS and not OS X, either by dual boot or virtualization.

I'm having trouble getting Hamachi started. I click on the shortcut on my desktop for LogMeIn Hamachi, and after a few seconds an error box comes up that says "Failed to connect to the engine". I need this working soon so I can be in the ROOT Nats Alternative Tourney

Six months later, I might actually do this...

Which do you recommend? I read some of the disadvantages of both, and I'm trying to be cautious, but I really don't know computers well, so I'd like some advice...

I can help you with dual booting if you'd like, even though it's a super simple process.

I prefer a dual boot, because it splits the hard drive into two separate drives, and you're not allowed to modify anything on the other drive, so you can't accidentally mess with the mac half of your drive when you're running windows. You can still read files off the other drives though.

I downloaded everything from there but every time I open RTS it errors "cards.txt cannot be found" and won't let me do anything.

You downloaded the .zip, took the folder titled RTS out of that, and just opened RTS.exe within that folder? It should work.
