Using Boot Camp (dual boot the computer to also have Windows, Intel only) only requires you to have a copy of Windows.
I use an old copy of Windows 2000 to do the trick, but any of the releases since 95, including the freely downloadable release candidate for Windows 7, will work. Using RC1 might even result in a completely free option, at least for a few months to a year.
Although virtualizing requires additional software, like the well-known VMWare Fusion or Parallels, there is a free solution in the open source
Virtual Box (made by Sun Microsystems). It's a bit tacky, but it works just fine.
When the new RTS gets finished, it won't require Windows
, but for now, this does the job well enough.
