If anyone has problems using RTS without hamachi, please let me know. I'm trying to work on a solution that will remove the need for hamachi.

Zardeck to the rescue again?

I would love to have an alternative to Hamachi, but searched a while back and couldn't find anything else that was as simple to set up and use, and free, and worked to connect people around firewalls and stuff.

I suspect that I would not be able to connect without Hamachi, so I'd be interested to see what you come up with.

Yes, if my solution works, you will not need to install ANY software in order for it to work. It would also allow for the create of lobbies and matchmaking.

For those interested, I was able to connect to LZ without Hamachi today using his method, and I had not been able to do that previously, so it seems that this has a good chance of working.

Not to one-up ProfA, but I managed a connection through a college network. As I put it, that's like winning the Nobel of RTS.

I also was just able to connect, and that's pretty amazing as well!
