If you haven't checked out Redemption Metagaming you should! One of the many great things to come out of this new project by Westy and Alex_Olijar is the news that Westy figured out how to run RTS on his Mac laptop! He may not have been able to recreate the process but he was able to give me enough information that I got it working on my Mac tonight too. Within the next week I'll either figure out a way to package up the necessary files for other Mac users or create instructions so that you too install and use RTS in OSX.
Gabe, have you been able to do the update of the new set with the Mac version?
Hey Gabe, I tried patching the update into RTS manually by right clicking and clicking "Show package contents", then dragging pics content to the pics folder, replacing the card.txt, and dragging the decks into the main file. It didn't work. How do I update on a mac?

Prepare yourself for a long post. I'm not sure there's a short way to say this...Westy, I tried to use your zip file and update that. I couldn't get it to run even before the update. I've aslo tried to use Winebottler and Winetricks to make RTS work to no avail. It seems to me that winetricks is missing some of the 5 components that are necessary for RTS to run. I don't recall exactly which ones I couldn't find in winetricks but I have not been successful at "bottling" a RTS.app and using it that way. For the record, these are the 5 necessary components for RTS to run. They come pre-installed on many Windows PCs. You can download them all here.Visual Basic 6.0 Runtimes (msvbvm60.dll)MSWINSCK.OCXRICHTX32.OCXMSCOMCTL.OCXCOMDLG32.OCXHere's what I've done to make RTS work on my Mac. I started by installing Wine and X11. My RTS folder is exactly what you get if you download RTS.zip from these boards. It contains everything needed to run RTS (except the above files). I downloaded all 5 of the above files too. I opened each file individually using Wine.app and installed each one using the default settings. I'm a little fuzzy on this part but I seem to recall that it might have asked which Wine prefix to install them to and I chose the default for that too. After all 5 were installed I opened RTS.exe using Wine.app and it worked. That's it. That's all I needed to do. I can still open RTS.exe anytime using Wine.app. It opens in X11 and runs well. There was a small screen size issue for a while but that seems to have gone away. It only involved me needing to resize my screen each time I opened RTS. I've also been able to add a new cards.txt and pic files to this install without any issues. There will undoubtedly be some questions. I'll try to answer them as best I can.
