It's being worked on as Mike has time, so kinda hard to know when it will be done.

FWIW, the version at the URL was the preview version from Nats.  He's improved several aspects of it in the current (semi-hidden) version, which is very solid.  And drb, if he wanted everyone to access it, there wouldn't be a login.

Page won't load for me for some reason.
Yes, I have Microsoft Silverlight, and my browser and OS meet the requirements. :)

Which browser?  If it shows a progress bar that is moving slowly, just wait it out, as it has to download a couple hundred megs to your machine for the thing to work.  Also, try updating Silverlight... an update was recently released that improves the speed.

Redemption Live! Phase 1 will be released soon. The following steps have to occur before it can be released.

1.  There are about four specific features that have to be coded.
2.  There needs to be a round of bug fixes to the existing features to fix minor things that weren't important at the time so I left them for later.
3.  There'll be a Release Candidate (RC) available to a handful of testers who will notify me of bugs, inconsistencies or errors in card data or problems with specific hardware, browsers or Opertaing Systems.
4.  I'll fix the issues found by the testers.
5.  Phase 1 will be made publicly available.

Just to be clear, Phase 1 will consist of the following features:
1. Redemption Card Explorer - where you can explore the database of all Redemption cards in a grid with options to sort, filter, and group the cards as you desire and choose which fields you want to display from among all of the available data. You can save specific states of the grid as a "DataView" so that you can get back to that state from a dropdown. You can drill down into a specific view of any card that shows the card picture and its specific details.
2. Redemption Deck Editor - where you can construct decks for Type-1, Type-2, or Type-NW using the CardExplorer to choose cards. The Deck Editor checks your deck continuously for violations of Deck Building Rules. The Deck Editor shows you a 3-D Coverflow view of the cards in your deck as well as a grid view of the cards in your deck. There are many deck statistics available on things like card types, rarities, card set distribution, etc available while building your deck. The Deck Editor can import from and export to RTS .dek files.
3. Game History Tracker - let's you keep track of the history of the Redemption games you play. It keeps the date, score, points, which deck you used, who your opponents were, tournament information if it was a tournament game. It shows you this information in the aggregate as well as by deck.
4. Collection Tracker - let's you keep track of the cards, booster packs, tins, UPCs etc. in your various collections of Redemption items. Let's you know what you have, how many of each, and what you need for one or more collections.

Phase 2 will be the inclusion of the game play against other players. RedemptionLive! is being designed to play all types of Redemption events from 2-player to multi and from Booster Draft to Teams. Phase 2 will obviously be available later than Phase 1 and will be released to playtesters and then to the general public.

The versions of RedemptionLive! that currently exist are:

1. The version at www.Redemptionlive.com is the preview release version from Nationals 2009 in August.
2. Test version preview available only to a few select people for demonstration and initial  performance testing.
3. The most current version (and the best, but it's often broke while features are being implemented) is available only on my Dell laptop.

So.... I'd really love to give you a date for the availability of Phase 1, but I'm doing this on my own time and as a father of four, a husband of one, a home school principal, and a full time software architect, things can come up to slow down my progress. I'll let you know as the date approaches.

Unless you're an Evolutionist, wouldn't you say that these steps would have to be performed? ;)

As far as you're concerned they'll just occur.

As far as I'm concerned they have to be performed. And from my point of view, that's why there's weeks to go.

I've still got patience. RTS does the job reasonably well in the meanwhile, and when it does come out I want it to be excellent and bug-free. Also, if it doesn't have spectator capabilities I'll kill three baby seals with a spotted owl.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

spectator mode would be epic win. it amazes me how some online videogames still dont even have spectator mode (currently enjoying spectator mode in super street fighter 4 however).

Being that it's a web-based program, I'm sure this will be the case.

RedemptionLive! updates your machine automatically with any changes to the card database when you first go to the main web page. It sends down only the changed cards so it is fast (after the initial load of the card database), so it works for corrections to errors in a card, release of new cards, updated card images, new brigades, etc.

I'm finishing up the first phase of RedemptionLive! over the next month or so. Then I'll release it to a small set of beta testers to get feedback and find any bugs or problems that I missed. When it seems to be stable and the issues are resolved, I'll let everyone have access to it. I regret that it has taken so long to make it available to the community, but I had a solar power project that took all of my spare time between March and October. I've been working on it since then as often as my schedule allows. I hope you find that it will have been worth the wait.

Would it help the wait if I posted various screen-shots from RedemptionLive! to give you a flavor of what's coming?

Mike

The first phase of RedemptionLive! contains the following components:

Card Explorer - which lets you browse through data covering all available Redemption cards. The Explorer provides multiple pre-defined views of the data and allows you to save your own personal favorite views. Each view can specify column selection, formatting, sorting, filtering and grouping options.

Deck Editor - which allows you to create and manage multiple decks under your account. The Deck Editor has views for your cards as a card list, a card layout (where you can drag card images around on a table to lay them out in whatever way helps you best build your deck), a deck summary (similar to the RTS deck editor summary) and a 3D cover-flow view. The Deck Editor supports import/export to RTS *.dek files, notifies you of all deck-building errors by deck-type (support for Type-1, Type-2, Type-NW, booster and sealed deck), and provides the capability for you to track the history/outcome of games that you play with each deck. The editor also shows you detailed statistics about the cards in your deck. The Deck Editor supports the capability for you to create templates to assist in your deck building. A template contains a set of common cards that you might use together like a set of dominants, a set of lost souls, an offense or a defense. You can then add all the cards from one or more templates to a deck you are building at any time.

Public Deck Viewer - allows you to browse and View any decks that other players have marked "Public".

Collection Tracker - allows you to track your card collection by arranging cards you have into "Albums" that display your cards in virtual album pages or card lists.

Game History Viewer - which allows you to track the history of all of the games that you've played standalone or in tournaments. You can view the results of each game with the same type of customizeable views that are available in the Card Explorer and Deck Lists.
