Title: Deck list, Printed or Written?
Post by: WarrenGraham1000 on July 30, 2019, 10:10:22 AM
Howdy!

I'll be on my way up to Tennessee early tomorrow morning. Since I've been changing it, I was going to create my deck list tonight, and was wondering if it can be written or if it absolutely must be printed for Nats.

Thanks, y'all!

Oh my goodness!  Thank you for posting this!!!!  I need to know if there is a pre-made sheet I need to print out to have available for people to fill out or not.  If not, I can make one (if I remember)  :P

John (Red Dragon Thorn) was working on one. I believe he's swamped with work this week but maybe he can send it to you if he got it finished.

Will deck lists eliminate the need for deck check and the traditional deck table, or will that not change?

I honestly think this is the complete opposite.  It makes sure you are checking in the correct and legal deck and then would allow for checks to be made between rounds (at the deck table) to make sure no tampering has been done.  Also helps keep up with Haman Plot decks.

It's also to help the pre-tournament deck checking process go smoother. Alternate art/version card, increase in dual alignment cards and the addition of the Reserve have all increased the difficulty of accurately checking decks.

Okay. This doesn't answer my initial question. Does my list need to be printed or can it be handwritten?

Thanks!

I don't think we specified that it must be printed (and we don't require Reserve lists to be printed), but as someone who will be checking decks for various events each day I will say that if your handwriting is tough to read, please print it out. If you have generally neat handwriting, then that would suffice.  8)

Thank you! I don't have the ability to print, so I will do my best to make it legible for you guys!
