Booster draft? How's it work?

Can someone give me a run down on booster draft and how it works?  I have never really done one before.  Currently, at clear creek bible college, and I have already gathered a few people who are very interested in playing on a regular basis. My son and I have been playing in the Library. :)  Not much to do around here, plus its guys who are used to card games.  :)  Looking into to doing a few "trial" runs before anything official.

So for booster pick the packs (and price) you want to use.  Every person gets the same packs, so if you choose to do all the box sets (EC-PoC) everyone gets one of each.  You start with the oldest pack, which is EC in this example, everyone opens it at the same time, you take one card and pass to the right.  Continuing taking one from each pack passed to you until there are no more cards.  Once you are done with EC, go to PC and do the same as above BUT pass to the left this time.  Continue through the packs alternating right and left until all cards and packs are gone.  Then you will proceed to build a deck.  7 non-special ability lost souls should be available for everyone as you don't normally have enough lost souls to build a legal deck without needing extras.

Crash has given a very accurate description of how booster draft is traditionally done. I’ll add that sometimes people choose to draft packs from newest to oldest. The order you draft the packs is not extremely important but having each person using the same pack at the same time is.
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

I just realized - IF and when set rotation is started - what 7 non ability LSs will be considered playable. I know I/J has some, but surely there need to be more than just those for everyone?

I'm sure if/when rotation happens this will already be addressed!
