I think it's interesting and pretty cool that no one person has won ROOT more than once this year. There is a group of people that are pretty much always floating around the top, but nobody is running away with the show. Yet another proof that ROOT is a fantastic proving ground for decks and player ability.

I hadn't actually noticed that, but yeah, that's really neat. I think a lot of it can be attributed to two of the winners (Kirk and Randall) not playing every month, but you're right, it does display how even though ROOT is competitive, a lot of different people not necessarily all at the same skill level have a legitimate chance to do well.

Actually I would say that all the players who have been at the top ARE about the same skill level.  4 of the 5 winners this year are on the list of top 25 players posted elsewhere on the forum.  And so is 1 of the 2 people who have placed without winning yet.  The notable exception is the 1 person who has placed EVERY month, and yet didn't make that list.  I would suggest that probably that person belongs there as well.

What is also interesting to me is the number of top 25 players on that list who have never even placed this year.  I expect that we'll see at least a couple of these guys place before the year is over.
