Same with Adevine and me - we kept not being able to make a scheduled work. I know he said he conceded this game, but I'll give him the points - I rescheduled first AND more often, so he has the better claim >:)
ANB is good. Change my mind.

It's sad, but work tends to get in the way of a lot.
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game

Pretty disappointing that only 2 games out of 8 were played...kinda bummed that I spend time organizing so that people can get games in only to see such low participation.

Before I go any further, let me say that I'm not pointing fingers or calling anyone out. I'm also not asking anyone to bow out because the whole point is to find a way for people to gain experience, learn new strategies (and how to play against them) and play against people from other areas/playgroups. Hopefully it's just an aberration that perhaps had something to do with school and other fall activities beginning this time of year, and consequently this was just a bad week schedule-wise for a lot of players.

However, if people think this might continue then it might behoove us to consider changing up the RooT format. Are people finding they have no time at all for online play or is it just a struggle to get two specific schedules to line up? If we changed RooT to an "open play" style, would that be of interest? Are people only truly interested in playing if there is prize support?

I'll put together the week 4 pairings and we'll see how that goes, but would appreciate some feedback.

An open play style might be a good idea. If people can post when there online or when they are usually online that would be best.

Sorry! I know for me it is just hard getting the schedules to mesh.  I work 40+ a week at a "normal" job, plus pastor full time, plus working on my Masters degree, plus a family of 6 :) So for me I suppose its a bit of overload on my part. Probably should not have signed up until I knew for sure I could devote to it.  I apologize, but thanks for all your hard work though on getting things together!!

I'm going to ghost Megamanlan this week and drop out. School is getting too busy. And FWIW, prizes would not have kept me in. My guess is everyone was excited to play redemption after nationals and wanted too... life kicks in and you check your priority list, in which redemption is pretty low. Like going to a buffet and taking everything that looks good but only finishing half of it. I don't know if an open format is going to be any different than how people are finding pick up games online already.

I won't be home from working until pretty late tomorrow so if anyone wants to try and get their game in tomorrow night, I won't be updating until Friday morning or afternoon.  8)

In Adevine's defense I also couldn't play our game this week :(

I had a orchestral audition and started another teaching gig, and I just couldn't find the time to contact him. I should be good to play Round 4 this week!

Congrats to Kevinthedude for winning this RooT session and congrats to Xonathan for being the only one to get all 5 games played (with his only loss being to Kevinthedude)!  8)
