I was super blessed to escape with a win against D-man in an OTS game. He was pounding on me, and I thought I was a gonner for sure. It was a really close and fun game, and I'll look forward to playing him again.

Shofar and I decided to break out some brand new decks for our game tonight, I managed to eek out a game that was closer than the score indicated.

You can't officially challenge him since it's past Wed. However, he seems to have a game left this week, so he's welcome to accept your unofficial challenge.

You are welcome to play against anyone who chooses to play over chess chat, and earn ROOT points. However, it would not be fair for you to officially challenge anyone if you are unwilling to play over RTS (which is the standard method).

i wish people would inform me of ruling changes cause it gets me confused and a bit frustrated when i find out the hard way there are new rulings
as for that ruling of i can't challenge him if it's past wed. i i don't like it. seems unfair to me

All the rules are posted in the first couple posts on this thread, and any changes each month are highlighted in red. As for this specific rule, it is there to make sure that people don't officially challenge someone too late in the week, and then try to get ghost points because the other person wasn't able to play them. However, Gabe is still welcome to play you. He just doesn't HAVE to, if he chooses not to, or if he feels like it will be too hard to find a time when you are both available.

you should also be aware that rules can be made up on a whim and applied to games prior to their conception.

its entirely accurate, i challenge you to prove me wrong.

and if we're making such a rule, are we also giving away 10% of my root points from previous months as well? that seems to be the norm around here.
