Redemption Connect was the pet project of Lord Zardeck, and nothing's been heard that I know of since he ran out of money to keep hosting that website.  I haven't even seen him around on the forums in forever.

Perhaps you were thinking of Redemption Live, which is a pet project of Mike Wolfe.  The Redemption Visualizer part of that project has already been released and is super awesome (although I wish it had the newest cards in it).  As for the rest of that project (including most importantly a better replacement for RTS), I haven't heard anything about that in a while either and am not holding my breath that it will happen/soon.

As I think about it, there are a lot of these ongoing "pet projects" within our hobby.  They would also include Redemption Metagaming (pet project of Alex and Westy), the All-Time RNRS Point Sheet (pet project of Tim Maly), the Redemption Hall of Fame (pet project of myself), the T2-Only Tournament (pet project of Bill Voigt), Redemption Camp (also pet project of Bill Voigt).  What am I missing?  Are there other ongoing pet projects that are completely volunteer, but take work year after year?

s far as pet projects go, me, red and matt Sinclair have been doing talks about a possible podcast that is more humor based then discussion based like westy's and alex's are
