The final ROOT tournament of the calendar year will start next week. Please post here if you would like to join. The tournament will be five weeks, with a week off during Thanksgiving week (A, because a lot of people will be going out of town, etc.; and B, because I will be moving). The tournament is scheduled to end Dec. 17, if we get an exceptionally large number of people, then an extra 2-week round may be added, but given recent participation numbers, I don't think it will be necessary.

We will continue with no rule modifications for this tournament, from what I've seen, most people are pretty satisfied with the current rules, and with the exception of a best 2 out of 3 format, which just takes too much time for most people, there doesn't seem to be many popular ideas for modifications.

Post here before next Tuesday, Nov. 5 to get a Round 1 matchup.

I was planning to start the tournament today, but with only four people, it would be at most a three-week tournament. So I will keep this up for another week, and see if anyone else wants to join. I have no problem with having such a small tournament if no one else joins, but we certainly won't need 5 rounds.

Alright, well, there are currently four people. I know everyone who has signed up has played T2 competitively, or at least dabbled, but I'd like to at least extend the opportunity to make it a T2-only tournament. I'll only do it if everyone agrees, but I think it might be fun. Since it will only be three rounds, we could make it just November, than if anyone else wants to join by December, we can run a regular ROOT tournament. But since sign-up has been open for two weeks now without any new additions, I just figured I'd try to spice things up a bit.

Let me know by Thursday if you are playing and wouldn't mind it being a T2-only tournament; also, if anyone else wants to join before then post here and let me know if you want to try out T2.
