0-5, 2-5, RTSM wins both with an epic second game. He sideboarded something that completely blindsided me and wrecked a last ditch effort (which ended up not being the last ditch effort, interestingly enough).

confirm. stayed calm game 2 while facing an early played card that hurt pretty good against me.

I knew I was going to side in my Abe's Kid game 3 but was lucky enough not to see one. I was down to my last hero and had a plan FTW which worked. I wanted to scoop the whole game just to get to game 3. I will do it. I will be exhaused after this format is over but I will hate to see it go.
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

5-2, 5-3 against Red, my favor. Despite what the score looks like, both were very close and long grind games. Just like last week, I manage to steal a win in Game 2 because of a bottom decked SoG. I really don't like how SoG and NJ is such a decisive factor in T1 and can swing games dramatically from one side to the other just because they're absolutely unhindered free rescues. Ban NJ, or better yet ban both and make the game to 4. Grinding out rescues is far more enjoyable then flopping down the big 2. Had SoG and NJ not existed, Red surely would have at least won Game 2 with his great rescues.

I apologize, but I need to drop out. This month has really gotten away from me, and I find myself with a lot less time than I thought I'd have.

I feel the need to correct that. We played one game, and due to time constraints (it was on Valentine's Day, the only day our schedules matched) limited each game to an hour. I won the first 3-0 and we were about half way done with the second game when my internet disconnected. Steve has graciously said he'd give me the points, but there should probably be an asterisk by that win.

Also, those games were some of the most fun I've ever had in Redemption. I thought two 154s would be bad, but it was actually loads of carnage and pretty strategic, from what I remember.

My games:

Game 1:  5-3 MKC
Game 2:  5-2 me
Game 3:  5-2 MKC

Fantastic games.  Saw some crazy things, but I can't share them for fear of spoiling decks.  MKC played amazing and deserved the victory.

Confirm. Saying the games were amazing doesn't do it justice...brutal grind games, incredibly well thought out moves, especially from hartz. One even resulted in me dropping SoG/NJ as my only rescues and going to scoop phase to start Game 3. Had I not had some early luck in Game 3 due to some massive drawing acceleration (;)) and allowed hartz to stabilize later on, then the outcome of Game 3 would have been very different. Much respect to hartz, his natural talent and ingenious thinking towards this format is simply incredible.

Final Rankings Posted.
It's been a while since we've had such a dominant win in ROOT.  MKC played and defeated the #2, #3, #4, and #5 players this month.  That is an impressive accomplishment and is worth noting.  Congrats to all, and we'll see you next ROOT :)
