Confirmed.  That game could not have gone more amazingly badly for me.  No mistakes by either player, but the draw was suuuuuure in Red's favor.  However, he played great, was a good sport, and deserved the win :)

How many weeks will this tourney be?
Good question.  1 more week after this one.  Then we'll take a break until Nats, and start off the August ROOT right after Nats.

There also may be a special 1 day live online Nats Alternative Tourney (like last year) depending on whether I am able to make it to Nats, and depending on whether someone else will run it for me if I do go to Nats :)

Can we play longer? As of now, there is going to be a 3ish week break before Nats. Is there a reason we can't play another week?

I guess we could if that's what most people want to do.  I would be more inclined to do it if we were looking at a tie at the top, and less inclined to do it if we had clear winners to place.  But I'm not locked in either way at this point.

Yes, there are some small prizes.  We mostly just play for the fun of it, but there are a few booster packs that are given out as well.

That's cool, I was playing for fun but saw another post that showed booster pack prizes in previous ROOT tourneys. =)

Is this like a live tournament where we have to use the same deck the whole time, or can we change it/use a different deck?
ANB is good. Change my mind.

You can use as many decks as you like.  The only caveat is that you are only allowed to "virtually rip" 3 Haman's Plot cards in a single tournament month.  That simulates you having 3 copies of the same deck checked in.

Thomas and I just finished a very epic game. I won 5-3. Good opponent in Thomas. It was very fun!
BTW can you place a territory enhancement without an evil character?

You need a character in play with the brigade color of the TC enhancement.

Thanks for the clarification. I let him use one that way since I didn't know.

Confirmed. I couldn't get any Evil characters at the end, and neither of us knew if you could play a territory like that. He essentially walked in for the last couple of souls.

Psyched him out by leaving my Herod's Dungeon open with a site discard LS though... ;)

New Rankings and pairings are posted for this week.

Since we had a tie at the top, and they hadn't played each other, and some free weeks before Nats, we're going to go one more week.  Enjoy the extra games guys, and thanks for a great tournament.
