I really liked the 10-card opening hand rule. Thanks to a bye and a ghost, I only played 2 actual games, but the 10-card hand did what I expected: It advanced the game and put more LS in play for both players. In the absence of a mulligan rule, I like this as an alternative.

Also, I would like to re-nominate Justin's idea for a rule change for April ROOT - no NJ, no FA, no Liner LS.

I liked the 10 card opening except for one thing--the fact that if someone (myself included) is using a 50 card deck w/ Hopper, they have nearly 1/4 of their deck in the opening hand, which makes the game feel like a draw race again. I think a 10 card opening with a 56 card minimum would be interesting to try. Ironically even with the 10 card limit, I still got soul droughted in my last game vs Red (my Gideon's Call and Awake LS got buried in my last 3 cards).

I would also still be interested in trying the "No NJ, FA or Liner" option.

Post by: The Guardian on April 06, 2016, 02:24:48 PM: NJ and FA more or less cancel each other out but that means a player pretty much has to use them both in order to not be at a huge disadvantage. Cutting them both should lead to more variety in dominant selection.

If FA goes, NJ needs to go too. Have you ever played with a NJ ban? The games are much better IMHO :)
