Can you describe a situation in which the special ability would be used? What does the special ability mean "The special ability on the first evil Enhancement you play each battle is regardless of protect abilities." What does it mean when it says "regardless?"

"Regardless of protect abilities" means the modified ability can target a card even if would otherwise be protected. If AUTO exchanges for Gideon, the first evil Enhancement can target Gideon even though he protected.
