The most I've ever seen a collection go for was $400, and that was a collection with thousands of cards with several complete sets.

I have that beat by $42.50. Only reason I know this is because I found an old checkbook of mine the other day with a check written out to a Mr. Scott Stamp for $442.50 on 5/13/08. But perhaps this is indeed the transaction you are referencing...IIRC, it was for every set from the beginning until that date.

No, this was one last summer, that had multiple complete sets through Thesaurus. I remember it well because a friend of mine was getting back in the game and was bidding for it, but he eventually lost out in the end.
