What to buy?

Well guys I'm not really familiar with the new booster packs, and I really do not know where to start making/buying a new deck. I have a really solid Site Lock/Genesis Deck that works for the most part, but I need something to really "put the nail in the coffin". So what should I start to look for? Buy a starter deck? What booster packs? What works well with what? Lemme know what has worked and what I should look out for! Thanks Guys and God Bless!

If you are looking at buying booster packs to add cards to your collection and perhaps give you a chance to get some good cards to trade, the Thesaurus and Disciples packs are by far the best value per pack. If you just want a few specific cards for your deck, it may make sense to buy those cards individually rather than try to open packs to find them. It depends how much you're going to spend and what you want to accomplish!

Be sure to check out Three Lions Gaming so you have a good idea how much cards are worth, whether or not you buy them there. :)

Disciples and Texp give you the most bang for your buck. Tins give you "themes" and loads of packs might be pricey if your paying the full price of $15 but its worth in the end. If your buying individual packs Kings for new players are your best bet. Though I personally prefer to buy Pats and Apostles. Also Imo if your short on money Prophets are always a good option they have powerful rares and not too shabby common and uncommon cards when paired with Windows of Narrow Light for a very cheap price compared to other packs.
3 Prophets Packs ftw

Buying Patriarchs and Apostles packs really isn't worth it anymore when you can pay an extra $2 to get 2 TexP or 4 Disciple cards, and get 8 rares/URs from Pats and Apostles.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Get the Faith of our Fathers/Rock of Ages tins associated with the wanted theme. This is basically mandatory, with the exception of some new themes (Disciples and N.T. Prophets) and old strategies (old school speed, FBTN{B}).

Disciples is definitely the next thing to try as far as boosters go, as they give you a plethora of cards, and some good ones from both new and old sets. Lots of needed ultra rares (Guardian, Destruction, Unholy Writ, etc.) can be found in these, in addition to some very key new cards for your brigade.

TexP is also good, but not as good, in my opinion, because you only get two cards of the new set, so you're less likely to get something you can use. It also doesn't seem to have as good of ultras. Mayhem and Grapes are amazing though, and there are some brigades that need TexP (Orange, Black, and some others).

After that it'll be difficult to get what you really need out of boosters no matter what you buy. I personally like Priests, as they have some nice commons, and some really powerful rares and ultras.

Then Patriarchs, although you'll get a lot of these rares/ultras in Disciples and TexP, there are some really great commons.

Then Kings. Just because.

Then Prophets...because Isildur somehow makes them work...but I've never seen them to be effective in anybody else's hands.

Then Angel Wars. If you're desperate. Some nice rares here and there, but bad odds for them. You're better off buying/trading what you need outright.

Then Apostles. Everything you need from this set you should be able to get out of Disciples and TexP, with the exception of one or two cards that you can probably get for free (like Good Samaritan).

Then Unlimited. It's pretty much garbage, other than a few decent rares (2 liner lost soul, Authority of Christ, Snare, and Stocks...), but no necessary ones.

Is that the April Tournament? If so I may or may not!

I guess you could say I'm just looking for a good solid speed deck. I can go all day site locking people, but I just need something to go out and play in tournaments.
