Three Lots of High-Value Cards on Sale - PRICES DROPPED
« on: June 25, 2013, 09:57:20 AM »

Hello all!

I have three lots of high-value cards available. Each of them will be sold for $50 $40 including shipping (US only). If you buy two lots, your total price is only $75. And if you buy all three lots, they are yours for $110, plus I'll throw in an extra GoYS, Shroud, Chariot promo, Three Nails, and Writ.

Bear in mind, each lot is priced at less than a dollar per card. The total value of each lot is well over $200 by TLG prices. So you are paying less than 25% of TLG for these cards.

Thanks for looking!

Lots A and B are very similar, while lot C is a little bit different.

$50 is kinda a high price point (especially with people saving money for Nats and new cards).  I would suspect that you'd have more interest if you split the lots in half and sold them for $25 each.  Just an idea.

In fact you could do a "Buy $25, get $50 FREE" deal.  You could put the best of the best cards into groups that are worth about $25.  Then put the rest of the cards into larger lots worth about $50 each.  Then let people pick 1 of the first group to pay for, and get 1 of the second group free.

An example (based on my guess of prices off the top of my head, so probably wrong) would be:
Buy $25 groups:
A - King David, Brass Serpent, Chariot of Fire
B - AoCP, Dragon Raid, Chariot of Fire
C - 2-liner LS, Holy Grail, Israelite Archer, Chariot of Fire
D - Chamber of Angels, Captain of the Host, Strong Angel, Gabriel
E - Hopper LS, NJ dominant, Unholy Writ
F - Revealer LS, Wall of Protection, Unholy Writ
G - 1st round LS, Phineas, Pentecost, Scapegoat, Unholy Writ

Free $50 groups (with purchase of one of the above):
A - blah
B - blah
C - blah
...

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been out of the game for a little while now, so I'm definitely just best-guessing on demand for these cards. I was hoping to be able to sell them off in large groups just to make my life a little easier. I'm going to modify the prices above and see if it helps before I look into splitting into smaller lots:

A lot now costs $40.
Buy two lots for $75.
Get all three lots for $110.

Gotta say I'm pretty disappointed with the lack of interest here. There's an ebay aution right now with Raiders Camp and three $0.25 cards going for over $60.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-4-Fortress-Cards-Redemption-Trading-Card-Game-NM-M-/321147361900?pt=Trading_Card_Games_US&hash=item4ac5dfda6c

Sure that's not the norm, but I'm pretty tempted to just list this stuff there. Message boards are usually a good place to get stuff cheaper than the market. (Obviously TLG stays in business just fine with their prices being what they are.) But there's not really any benefit to me as a seller if I can't do a quick transaction.

I'll leave this stuff here for another day or two though. In the meantime, I am entertaining all offers from you guys. Thanks!

LOL, "not the norm." Either the two people battling over the bids are clueless, or they have no intention of completing the deal. Notice that the other lots from that seller are at $3 or less.

By all means, sell them on eBay if you think you can get $62 for similar cards.  ;)

Haha, yeah, I'm not seeing me being able to replicate that exact scenario. But $50 for one of my lots above? Probably. $40? Of course.

Yes you could get $40 to $50 for one of your sets but as was earlier stated, with the new cards coming out and it being just over a month until Nationals the likelihood of that is questionable.  I tried to sell a bunch of redemption cards on ebay for $0.01 a piece (granted they weren't as high quality as yours) and never even got a follower.  Feel free to post them on ebay and I hope you are able to sell them, but don't be totally frustrated due to the lack of poor kid funds!  I would buy these cards from you if I wasn't already over budget on my redemption fund, so you might just have to wait it out a little while!

I sold individual cards fairly quickly for several hundred dollars but that's a lot more work.

And to give him an idea, what % according to TLG did you get for most cards?

I have no idea, I never looked at TLG except for cards over 10 bucks.

Hey, this is my first post on these forums, and I am sort-of interested in this offer you got here. I am almost wondering if you could combine some of the stuff in different lots, as I am interested in the cool LS's in lot A (and WoP, Chariots) and some of the Doms in lot B (DoN, Harvest Time). I might go $50 if you customized a bit, but it is my birthday...  ;)

It was indeed. I dunno what happened. It's not a huge secret though, I can just post it in the open here. I offered you Lot A, plus DoN and Harvest Time from lot C for $45. Paypal can be sent to happyjosiah@gmail.com, and I'll get it shipped the next day. PM me your address if it isn't included with your Paypal payment. Thanks!
