Many Redemption players have been on the scene for a long time. They've bought the packs, they've played the tournaments, they've traded everything that wasn't bolted down, just to get that one long-sought promo card. But as time has marched on, they have found their collection of older, more common cards growing. And growing.
And growing.
What can be done with these extra cards that you can't use? That's where The Storehouse comes in. Just like its namesake, cards that are going to be discarded can be sent to The Storehouse instead.
The Storehouse was founded for the purpose of allowing long-time players to donate their unused collection of cards to be sold or donated to new players or those with smaller collections. Donated cards will earn their donors credit towards the purchase of new booster packs.
For more information visit The Storehouse (http://storehouse.redemptionnexus.com).

Update:
The first batch of cards donated at this year's nationals are in. One4music has donated nearly 200 cards, totalling $24.35 in credit, that can be used to get half-off new card purchases from the Nexus (or at the moment, my supplier, Open Sky)!
One4music, please PM me your personal information so that when you order from me in the future, I will know who to apply the proper credit to.
There is a lot more for me to calculate, there were a lot of generous individuals at the tournament, and I cannot thank them enough! ;D
-
Let me know when you've got my credit calculated, I will mostl likely be getting starters to teach new players in the area... and sleeves if you carry them.
-
Update:
Ben Arp's donation has been tabulated. He has donated over 2600 cards valued at $463.05! Thank you very much for your contribution!
-
I will have a bunch of cards for you soon I am figuring 4 or 5 thousand cards you said the are going to help get playgroups started didnt you.
-
That's the idea. When my storefront goes up, I'll have singles for sale there as well, but so far we've taken in well over 7,000 cards and I don't have an exact count but I'd say I've given out over a thousand cards already, and I'm getting ready to ship some out to the Ship, PA group.
-
Wow, thats an awesome amount of credit. I'll have to figure out how I want mine distributed.
Will all redemption products be avaliable? Will all cactus products be avaliable? Will other products be avaliable?
-
For the moment, only the cards (starters and boosters). I will talk to my supplier about the board games, but I can't make any promises on that.
-
sounds good I will work on getting them to you as soon as possible.
-
Jim Woolcott also made a donation to The Storehouse at Nationals this year. He does not wish to cash out his credit, but he probably got the most bang for his buck of any donors to date. With only 422 cards, he provided over $200 worth of donations! Thank you so much, Jim!
-
i'm counting my cards right now. you rock man this is a great idea.
:edit: alright i got like 450, ill see what the shipping is and calculate the credit.
-
Don't worry about the credit, I can handle that part. Just plug it into my handy-dandy spreadsheet and it spits out the number for me.
-
alright ill send em in as soon as i have time, this is a great idea, count on my support.
-
Schaef, I saw on one of your posts some where that you were going to start selling single cards. Are you considering doing the same thing with storehouse for single cards? I'm just kind of interested if your considering this.
-
May we buy Preists in September or October? I know you said wait one month and buy 10, then another and buy alot, but when do you count the release as being?
-
Since Priests aren't being sold to distributors yet, I'm guessing the September release will begin the one month "buy 10" period.
-

I haven't yet decided what I'm going to do with my singles. Obviously I am already donating some of them back out, to my playgroup and to other low-income playgroups that may need some startup cards. One possibility I am considering is making some pre-built decks and selling those. They very likely would not be tournament-winning decks since they would be short on Dominants and have few or no rares, but it might be a good way for a beginner to get a handle on Redemption combos and strategies. More details when I stop counting cards long enough to sit down and work on the idea.

The release for me is the general release, as it is the vendors I am trying not to undercut on sales, not just Cactus.
-
Thanks for the info. The deck idea could be a good idea. With all my extras that I can't use to make decks I'll have to think about sending some in.
-
Sent more cards today, trying to beat Jim's record for credit per card.
-
It worked. 32 promos/ultras for an additional $278.20!
-
Will your store accept PayPal?
-
I will make that one of my accepted methods of payment, yes.
-
The latest contribution to be catalogued is from Brad Coverdale, who contributed nearly 4,000 cards for $389.60! Thanks, Brad!
-
UPDATE:
Cards from starter decks are welcome and particularly appreciated, including Dominants and all Lost Souls regardless of type. I know these were discouraged in the past, there is now a slight change in the policy.
-
ANOTHER UPDATE:
Trade value for all C/D, E/F, G/H starters (except Lost Souls) has been increased to ten cents. Anyone who has starters to donate, they would be appreciated (I'm looking at you, sealed deck players).
-
(feeling very uncomfortable) :P Hey Shaef how much credit do I have? I know I didn't donate very much but I have some more cards I am going to send soon. From sealed deck, yes. ;)
-
This is Taylor, right? I have you down for $24.35.
-
yep ok thank's ;D
-
can Canadians participate...? I might be interested as well as some of my buddies.
GOD Bless,
Trenton.
-
can Canadians participate...? I might be interested as well as some of my buddies.
Sure, send whatever you want.
-
Our latest contribution comes from Kirk Dennison, who has contributed 1448 cards valued at $79.65! Thanks for your help, Kirk!
-
Will you be sending out the packs this coming week? A couple of the guys want to know when to expect them.
Kirk
-
I have most of the cards to fill your order, I need to order a few more packs, which I will have shipped direct to your address.
I hope you will be patient with me just a day or so longer; I've just spent the last 18 hours at the hopsital with my wife.
-
Oh, thats completely fine! I doubt they would buy all the packs immediately anyways. I understand that life is more important than a card game. ;)
What happened to your wife?
Kirk
-
We still don't know. Stay tuned for Day 3 of Doctoral Musical Chairs.
-
Sorry, could you clarify the pack exchange thing for me? I'm just not understanding it right.
BTW, hope your wife's okay.
-
I'm praying for you schaef. Hope everythings ok.
-
Sorry, could you clarify the pack exchange thing for me? I'm just not understanding it right.
Send me your old cards. You get credit at New Beginning Games (http://www.newbeginninggames.com), which you can apply to get half off new cards.
Example, you donate say 1000 cards, and accumulate $40 worth of credit. You can cash in that credit and get $100 worth of cards for $60, or $50 worth of cards for $30, or 3 Kings packs for $4.86, etc.
-
Ok, when will Priests packs be available?
-
Since Priests originally shipped at the end of September, I will make them available for credit redemption the last week of October (Monday is the 30th), maximum 10 packs. They can be purchased without limit starting Monday, December 4.
-
Alright, thanks.
-
Ok, so if I send in cards, I get redeemable credit toward your store, which basically turns packs into buy one get one free. Do you accept promos? Expect a shipment from me within the next few weeks ;)
-
I take pretty much everything (although I'd prefer not to see entire boxes of "garbage" cards from blue packs), including promos. In fact, someone sent me a couple hundred bucks worth of promos recently.
-
I pretty much gave away most of my limited/unlimited cards. You'll get only a few of those..... I keep lots of my cards for deck building for other people, but I have some whose special abilities stink. I'm gonna send some promos along too. Thanks for doing this and I'll pray for a full recovery for your wife.
-
Is there any way that you would want us to sort them to make it easier on you?
-
not necessarily, as I end up sorting them upon arrival anyway, but at least clustering them by color would be a big help.
Even if you just toss them all into a big box and ship em out, you don't get penalized at all. It just takes me a little longer to get to the bottom of the pile and tell you how many army surplus helicopters you've earned.
-
Schaef ........ a brother is in need.
http://cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=1662.0
Blessings!
-
I am still trying to get my inventory squared away, it is out of sorts, after which I will see what I can do to assist him.
-
I'm OK for now. Thank you again!
-
All right. Once I get some n00b decks up at the store, let me know if you want a couple of those, and they're yours.
-
Question: Have you found out yet if you're going to be doing this for board games as well... I'd like to get some of them once I send these cards in sitting on my desk... maybe you could do like double credit. IDK.
Thanks anyways
Matt
-
Check this out (http://cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=1517.0). I don't think you'll be disappointed.
-
Schaef,
Were you offering a free Priests pack with a purchase of Bible Apples to Apples? If so, is that still active? Also, what is the shipping cost for the game?
I thought I read that you were looking for larger playing areas for tournaments. May I suggest checking with your local Christian schools to see if you could hold the event in their cafeteria. That way you would have the long tables, possibly vending machines, and a nearby bathroom. Christian schools may want the exposure and recruiting opportunity, especially if you have homeschoolers.
Just a thought.
-
We already tried Grace Brethren, which is one of the larger churches in the area (not counting Vineyard or the big Rod Parsley megachurch). Ima look into the very nearby brand new Salvation Army church, and if that worketh not, there's a big Nazarene church down by where our old tournaments used to be. Bit more of a hike but we'll see what we can work out.
And yes, the offer with purchase is still good. Shipping will probably be 4 or 5 bucks for just the game, but with a $50 order shipping is free.
-
Do you have more than just redemption in stock for us to use our credit on?
TJ
-
Do you have more than just redemption in stock for us to use our credit on?
Yup, check this (http://cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=1517.0) out. :)
-
Schaef, do u have any extra starter deck stuff? We're in need here in PA, my playgroup is growing and I'm starting to run short!
Marti
-
I don't have extra starters (although I have been asking people to donate those now), but I do have a big ole box of cards ready to mail out to you (just finished putting it together yesterday). PM me your address and I'll send those. Hope that will help a bit.
-
FYI, the descript page for The Storehouse has been updated again, to include Priests cards, which at the moment are worth trade value.
See http://storehouse.redemptionnexus.com for all the details.
I also want to remind everybody who has donated cards that, starting this Friday, Dec. 1, the 10-pack restriction on redeeming credit for Priests will be lifted, and you may apply your credit to as many Priests packs as you wish.
-
The newest donation to The Storehouse comes from Ashton Lewis (Casponos), who donated 335 cards at a value of $36.70! Thank you so much, Ashton!
That latest contribution means that in the six months since the program began, over 13,000 cards have been donated to The Storehouse, and over 4,000 cards have been or are currently being re-distributed to playgroups!!! I can't thank you all enough for your generosity!
-
Priests are wide open now, for Storehouse donors to redeem credit. Shop away!
-
thanks so much for your donations Schaef! :)
Marti
-
Does that mean I can get any number of stuff for a value of up to $36.70 at your store?
-
It means you can apply the credit towards half of your purchase, and you have $36.70 worth of credit to apply.
So you can buy a starter deck for $10, spend $5, use $5 credit, and have $31.70 left. Or you can buy $73.40 worth of stuff, spend $36.70, and use your $36.70 worth of credit.
-
Hola! Just so you know Shaef, when my cards come, it will say Lois Carrizales, but they are really coming from me, Joey. My mom doesn't play Redemption, but she does have little stickers that have our address on them! Plus, I will be using my moms credit card to buy stuff, so that will apparently be hers too. I don't know if any of this makes any sort of difference, but I thought it might, so I told you! 8)
-
Joey Carrizales' contribution of 571 cards has earned him $46.35 credit at New Beginning Games. He can redeem that credit for 50% of the value of his purchases of any card or board games sold there.
-
how do you want these cards organized?
thanks in advance ;)
-
If you want to sort them by brigade, then alphabetically by character, then enhancement, be my guest.
If you want to sort them by brigade, that would be appreciated.
If you want to just toss them all in a box and send them to me, I will very happily do all the sorting for you. It will just take me a little longer if they are not at least grouped together a little bit.
-
Alright, brigade, type, then alphabet... ;D
-
Hmm...where exactly do all the donated cards go? Are there certain regions that they are given too...?
-
Not really, just playgroups that need cards but don't have a lot of income. I'm also investigating ways to make cards available for sale.
-
Okay, thanks for clarifying. I'll be praying about what to do with the majority of my cards, and this seems like a good option.
-
It's awesome Mullet Peace. The Schaef's storehouse pwns.
-
finally a place to ship my hafamillion preist cards
-
Have you counted my cards yet? I'm anxious to know... ;)
-
I am processing your contribution. You will know the moment I am done. :)
And done it is! Congratulations to Ashton, whose second contribution of nearly 300 cards earned him an extra $65.30 in credit, bringing his total to $102 even!
-
I need to announce an important change regarding my Storehouse policy for redeeming credit.
Beginning today, February 10, credit earned in the Storehouse can be redeemed for up to 40% off the prices of Redemption cards and all board games available at New Beginning Games. Combined with NBG's already-discounted prices, donors will still be getting ~45% off standard retail prices.
I apologize to my faithful contributors that this change was necessary, but after taking a percentage off the retail price, and then selling product for half the discounted price (which was an error on my part to begin with), the business model is simply broken. I cannot continue to sell product at such a steep discount. I hope that 45% off retail is still a satisfactory compensation for the cards that you have donated; your efforts are greatly appreciated and I would very much like to keep your business. If there are any questions, please contact me by email or PM.
-
that's ok...it's still a good deal and it has to be done
-
So like if I buy a box of Priests it will be:
121.50-the 45% credit? So how much would the box be then?
-
$135 - 10% = $121.50
$121.50 - 40% = $72.90
-
Is there a limit to the number of cards the Storehouse will accept?
Thanks!
- Adam (RedemptionMarket)
-
Yes.
At the moment it is currently set at one billion. Please keep your contribution to less than that total.
:)
-
I see you have an image of "Ticket To Ride" on NewBeginningGames.com, but no way of actually ordering that item. Is it in stock and just not listed on the website for ordering? Or is it not available?
Thanks!
- Adam (RedemptionMarket)
-
Ticket to Ride is one of the products that I offer, as well as Ticket to Ride Europe. Both products are on back-order with the manufacturer, but should be available again sometime this month.
-
Okay, thanks for the update. :)
-
Schaef, do you plan to be at Nationals this year, and if so will you be accepting donations there?
-
Schaef, do you plan to be at Nationals this year, and if so will you be accepting donations there?
If I am at nationals, I will absolutely be accepting donations, just like last year when some generous individuals actually brought me entire BAGS full of cards. :)
:edit: A few recent posts have been removed from this thread, as the situation surrounding them has changed. Those who were aware of the content of these posts, please know I would just prefer to leave it at that for now.
-
So you can buy single cards ???
-
I will make individual cards available for sale soon.
-
The Storehouse (http://storehouse.redemptionnexus.com) is in need of starter deck cards. Many of you play sealed but already have three copies of all the starters.
So here's the deal. Send me a PM or email with your name and the date/location of the tournament you attended. For cash, include either your mailing address or your Paypal account.
Then, send me the sealed deck that you built for the tournament, including all 50 starter deck cards, and any common cards from the booster packs.
For this, I will reimburse the entry fee for your sealed deck category for that tournament. You can request a cash (check, Paypal, money order) payment, or receive Storehouse credit (good for 40% off cards and games sold at New Beginning Games (http://www.newbeginninggames.com)).
Please note the following:
- this offer only applies to the fee for the sealed deck category. It does not apply to your one-time entry fee for the tournament (unless sealed categories are free), or to any other category of play, including booster draft
- including the rares or ultras that you received in your boosters is not required. I only need the starters and commons. If you wish to voluntarily donate rares or ultras to The Storehouse, you will receive trade value for each card, but only as Storehouse credit for NBG products, no cash.
- the cash payment offer is only for a limited time, until our supply needs are met. I will probably continue to offer reimbursement in the form of Storehouse credit after the cash offer expires
-
The cup runneth over at The Storehouse!
Thanks to Adam Erickson, who donated (and promptly redeemed) $107.50 in cards!
Thanks also to Brandon Telg, who donated over 600 cards from the early years of Redemption, for $159.50 in credit!
Lastly, thanks to Scott Stamp, the first to donate (6) starter decks for the reimbursement of sealed deck tournament fees!
With these donations, another milestone has been reached: over 15,000 cards have been donated to The Storehouse!
-

how do i donate cards without goin to nationals
-
Just mail them to the address found on the link.
-
how much credit do you get for rares??
-
the value listed on Doug's price list.
-
if we turn in stuff instead of buying the redemption stuff online can we use the credit at like nats?
-
I am not running the merch table at Nats, so I have no say in the selling price there. Sorry.
Why would you want to use it at Nats rather than online anyway? They're the same cards...
-
idk........because ;)
-
ok. whatever.
-
how do you get redemption cash?
-
Buy stuff from Doug Gray's website
-
Hey man, did you get my stuff in? I sent it priority, but I guess I am a little antsy.
Our group is wanting to use some of the redeemed packs for upcoming events.
-
I have alot of cards to donate. are you going to be a southeastern regonials?
-
Hey man, did you get my stuff in? I sent it priority, but I guess I am a little antsy.
I received your package, you should have your total credit in the next day or two.
I have alot of cards to donate. are you going to be a southeastern regonials?
Nope. Too distant. Mail them or bring them to Nationals.
-
Thanks man. I sent you another set, only 25 cards. They are all Rares, Ultra Rares and Promos from Wa, Ap, Pa, and Ps.
-
Congratulations to The Ark for his contribution of 1675 cards totaling $275.20 in credit!
:edit: A second contribution from Ark adds an additional $94.50 to his credit, for a total of $369.70!
-
if we bring in all of our cards to donate are you going to have something there like packs to trade in for?
-
No. I will only be accepting donations at that time. When I have a chance to catalog that donation and give you a total, then you can order from the website as normal, with a discount code that I will provide to you.
-
FoOF = Release in August, no buy
September = First Month, limited buy
October = Second Month, unlimited buy
Correct?
-
Actually, since the main release of FoOF doesn't seem like it's going to happen until the end of August, that means the limited buy will likely take effect on Oct. 1, and the unlimited buy on Nov. 1
-
Ok. What will the limited buy consist of? It was 10 boosters last year, so does that mean we can get 10 tins?
-
so do you accept any cards at all? like the old limited cards? If so, i probably have 500 or so.......
-
Also, hopefully you have a lot of room to take cards with you. I'm seriously contemplating giving you all my cards (minus decks and ultra rares) and restarting my collection.
-
Also, hopefully you have a lot of room to take cards with you. I'm seriously contemplating giving you all my cards (minus decks and ultra rares) and restarting my collection.
are you talking to me???? just kidding
-
If I do decide to bring all my cards to nationals, I'll try to sell them before giving them to the storehouse.
-
I think the limit will be something like three tins.
Whatever cards you want to donate, I'll make room, don't worry about that. I hope you're not doing it for fear that you'll run out of credit. Even with the orders you've placed, you've got like $600 of credit, if not more (it's not in front of me). You will probably be able to buy at a discount until the end of time.
Cam - there are no restrictions on the cards I will accept. I used to give no credit for Lost Souls, but now I give a nickel like unlimited, prophets and starters, so I can have LS to sell in prefab decks and give out for Booster Draft (you'd be surprised how many people forget to pack LS for this category). But considering you get a nickel, and your max discount is 40%, don't expect to get much for your limiteds.
-
that is fine, better than sitting on a shelf :D
what do you mean by 40% disccount? thx
-
I have a few questions...
1. So I can give the cards to you at nats, correct?
2. Do they have to be organized in any way? or can I just give them to you in stacks of commons/uncommons?
-
I wouldn't do it just for credit, obviously that'd be stupid. It's actually more of a personal vendetta I have against my collection. I have tons of priest cards, but there are still some I don't have. There are also a bunch of cards I don't have from other sets, so I think it'd be easier to start over and go for complete sets.
-
hee-hee, a personal vendetta against your collection...
-
that is fine, better than sitting on a shelf :D
what do you mean by 40% disccount? thx
I mean, I don't trade cards for product, straight up. You get a discount when shopping on my website, and whatever you save comes out of your credit. So like, if you give me $40 worth of cards, you could buy $100 worth of product, take a $40 discount, and pay $60. Or if you had $100 worth of credit, you could buy $150 worth of product, take a $60 discount, pay $90, and you would have $40 left over ($100 earned minus $60 redeemed) for future orders.
-
Ummm can someone answer my questions...
1. So I can give the cards to you at nats, correct?
2. Do they have to be organized in any way? or can I just give them to you in stacks of commons/uncommons?
3. Do I have to count how many there are?
-
Yes
Don't Care
Doesn't Matter
-
Out of curiosity, Schaef, how do you sort all your Storehouse cards? Alphabetically? By brigade in ascending order of strength?
-
Out of curiosity, Schaef, how do you sort all your Storehouse cards? Alphabetically? By brigade in ascending order of strength?
ouch, I only have about 2k. And THAT is hard to keep clean..... what a nightmare
-
By type, then brigade, then alphabetically
-
wow that must take forever!
-
wow that must take forever!
i have a headcahe just thinking about it.
The Schaef, what do you store them in? and, how many do you think you have ? (cards)
-
It probably take a while, but with spreadsheets the sorting isn't hard, and with that many cards he's probably gotten used to it and knows where all the cards go.
-
...if he can just remember which room the red brigade is in....
-
The Schaef, what do you store them in? and, how many do you think you have ? (cards)
I have collected nearly 18,000 cards in the last year or so, and given out about 3,000, so I have some 15,000 cards in The Storehouse at present. I store them in those long card boxes, of which I have about a dozen, and I have a separate plastic box for the rares and Warriors.
It probably take a while, but with spreadsheets the sorting isn't hard, and with that many cards he's probably gotten used to it and knows where all the cards go.
Spreadsheets make it easy to catalog the cards once they are sorted, but the sorting process still must be done by hand. There's no way around that.
-
Do you know how much credit, if any, that I have left?
Kirk
-
Left? When did you spend any?
-
I will be sending you my extra cards
-
I distinctly remember sending you some cash in the middle of that large box of cards I sent you a long while back. You sent me a variety of different packs. I remember you didn't have them all on hand so you had to order some first and you ended up sending the remainder of the packs at a later date.
Kirk
-
Our latest contribution comes from Kirk Dennison, who has contributed 1448 cards valued at $79.65! Thanks for your help, Kirk!
I found this on page three from back in September. I don't remember exactly how much of it I used.
Kirk
-
Schaef,
I have a box of 2400 commons/uncommons all from priests, angel wars, patriarchs, kings, and apostles. With no lost souls. That would be $240 in credit, correct?
-
I found this on page three from back in September. I don't remember exactly how much of it I used.
You know what, I screwed up. For whatever reason, I was looking at Roc's credit when I responded to you.
You soaked up all your credit with that purchase. Please deposit ten cents for an additional three minutes.
I have a box of 2400 commons/uncommons all from priests, angel wars, patriarchs, kings, and apostles. With no lost souls. That would be $240 in credit, correct?
Well, for the moment, Priests get full trade credit, even for (un)commons. Once FoOF is released, however, they will be reduced to the normal ten cents, and FoOF cards will be worth full credit. So there's a good chance it will be worth more than that.
-
Alright I might try to scounge up some more cards to give at nationals.
Kirk
-
Hey, Schaef! So is this accurate here?
Angel Wars, Apostles, Kings, Patriarchs, and Priests packs are: $1.62 w/credit
Prophets are $1.08 w/credit
And Unlimited packs are $0.54 w/credit
Thaaaaanks alot!
-
Yup, with credit the cost is about 54 cents on the dollar.
-
Howdy man,
I see where you can't use credit towards new sets until one month after the set has been out, then you can get up to 10 packs in that set. I'm just wondering if you're going to change your limits to 1-2 tins? Any info you have is greatly appreciated, thanks man.
Daniel
;D
-
10 packs is 10 booster packs of regular expansions.
For tins, the limit will likely be something closer to 3.
-
awesome, i'll try to see what I have to send in. thanks again.
Daniel
;D
-
Are you starting up a playgroup in your area?
-
Oh, I didn't catch that! Sorry, I'm not. I was just wondering because I'm a begginner, always looking for new cards. But that's fine. This is a good thing to help get playgroups started. Thanks, Kn\|/ght
I can probably still send you some stuff. There probably won't be anything rare or "higher" but there are lots of powerful commons to choose from. I also recommend finding a booster draft tournament in your area soon. Not only would you get 10 great cards, but you can draft a bunch of cards to add to your collection. That's always a great way to add cards.
-
have you had fun counting up all those cards? :-*
-
He's talking to me. I might have gotten 10,000 cards this weekend.
I will post a more detailed report if I ever get to the bottom of the pile.
-
MUH HA HA HA!
but on a side note that is great that you got so many cards to start new playgroups.
-
Agreed. I'll probably be ordering some Patriarchs soon, before they run out, and FoOF later this year.

is patriarchs going? can you link to proof on that? thx

I feel sooooooooo sorry for you.......

is patriarchs going? can you link to proof on that? thx
Bryon said so, and it was stated that that was the reason they were bot included in FoOF many times.
-
They're not going anywhere right away, but of all the sets, the Patriarchs are the closest to running out. It might happen before next year's Nationals.
You would think it would be Apostles since that came after Warriors, but they printed a BUNCH of Apostles, so I expect they will be around a while.
So I guess that means it will be time to reprint Patriarch cards soon...
-
thx for the info. I think pats wasn't the best ever, but KINGS was. FooF looks cool, but red is WAY overpowered. It gained soooooo much power
-
... except only 1 red tin has so far been reported placing in the top 12 at Nats booster draft. And Achan's Sin still pwns a 72/70 red banding combo or whatever you toss in there.
-

you must wait for the public (not you special nats people ;)) to get the cards. Then you will see.......... muhahahaha
-
One player gave me a fair-size box of cards at nationals. I can't find any notes telling me who it was. If you were the one who gave me this box, send me a PM describing what the box looked like and how you sealed it, so I'll know it's you. IDENTIFIED
Actually, there's a shoebox here missing the tag I put on it. But it DID say on the top about how many cards there were. If that's yours, send me a PM telling me what you wrote on the shoebox.
Batman, Jonathan, Ben, your cards are almost completely sorted, and I will have them catalogued for your credit soon.
-
Did I already ask when FoOF will be available? And did you decide how many we can buy when?
-
If anyone is planning on making large purchases, I'd be interested in selling you my credit at half price. I have ~$367.43 worth of it, I think. I'll probably be sending in more cards soon.
-
ehren,
I don't think we can sell our credit...that would just get messy...nice try though...
-
I agree, that could get extremely messy.
-
Are you offering preorders on FoOF Tins?
I believe I read earlier Credit could apply to three.
-
I agree, that could get extremely messy.
Not really; I'd just IM Stephen and ask him to take that much credit away from me and give it to them.
-
Are you offering preorders on FoOF Tins?
I believe I read earlier Credit could apply to three.
Credit does not apply until one month following the general release of the cards. If they release by the end of the month, that means starting October 1.
Since I don't have the investment capital to keep a lot of stock here with me, I haven't set up a system to take pre-orders at this time, even for the people paying regular price. The tins will most likely be available at launch same as everyone else.
-
Just totaled up an order from Matt McNally. He donated just over 300 cards with a total value of $47.45! Thanks Matt, and don't forget to subtract the 5 you spent in advance!
Also, Robert Harrelson contributed 328 cards valued at $40.25!
... why are you all looking at me like I'm counting the smaller contributions first? :)
... and Clock, why are you pulling up a chair and getting comfortable? ;)
-
Three Lions has mailed out preorders. Does that make the release date officially 8/13? I am unsure since the cactus site still says September.
Also, would you like FoOF tins, just the tin, to offer as deck boxes for new players. I am building a collection. I could easily part with three or four.
-
I was comfortable with how much credit I had before Natz. I'll be sittin' real pretty after you get mine totaled. But seriously, when can we get FoOF? I'm getting hosed in ladder games without it.
-
All indications are that limited amounts of FoOF tins can be bought with the discount, beginning September 15. All the tins you want beginning October 15. I still do not have an answer on untinned cards yet.
:edit: Updated due to the release of the cards this week.
-
Kudos to Marcus Parker, who donated another 130 cards to The Storehouse, including several rares and promos, that came to a total value of $142.65! His new total is $334.80!
-
Cheers to Jonathan Hanson, contributing 460 cards valued at $75.20!
-
w00t for Josh Stanley, who donated nearly 1400 cards valued at $184.40!
On a side note, this portion of his contribution takes the Storehouse to over 20,000 donated cards! Thank you all for your support!
-
Hooray for John Earley, contributor of nearly 2000 cards valued at $243.40!
-
Amazing... Schaef was counting and valuing cards the whole time he was having that "Card Rarity" discussion. Talk about multi-tasking!
Was anyone playing him on RTS during that time too?
I'll bet you won't be able to do this on Saturday afternoons very soon, especially when OSU plays that blue and gold team.
-
Spreadsheets help. The sorting was the hard part. This is just entering counted values down the column.
But yes, my Saturdays will soon become less... available.
-
ooh...I completely forgot that I'm now in columbus then....but that game is away anyway, isn't it?
-
The Storehouse was founded for the purpose of allowing long-time players to donate their unused collection of cards to be sold or donated to new players or those with smaller collections.
Oh yeah, that's me, only 50 cards to my name
-
But really, THOUSANDS of cards where do all of them come from?
-
I've given quite a few cards to the storehouse. Also, White Knight, having 10,000 cards in your collection is a waste of space unless you're a retailer. You probably play with less than 70 cards per T1 category, and less than 150 per T2 category, meaning if you play all 4 open categories at a tournament, at most you'd need 480 cards. Obviously it's harder because you open boosters and get 1-2 cards you can use and 8-9 that don't help, but if you're smart about building your collection it can be small and extremely powerful.
-
If you have one of every card ever printed, your collection would top out at less than 2,500 cards. Having two sets (one to collect, one to play) means no more than 5,000 cards.
That was the case with me. Except for "Hulk" Lost Souls, all my cards beyond my second set went to The Storehouse.
-
Hulk Lost Soul? Is that the green hand?
-
Yup.
-
That's why you want them so much? Weird.
I collect the one with the guy sitting down with the pigs. It made me think of the movie "Dragonheart" when Dennis Quaid was blackmailing the village of pigherders. The leader gives Quaid the bag of money and says, "We can lose no more pigs."
That's what hits my mind every time I have to surrender a 'pigs' Lost Soul: "I can lose no more pigs!"
-
I keep the green guy in jall and the guy with the fire comeing up behind him.
-
w00t for Josh Stanley, who donated nearly 1400 cards valued at $184.40!
The second portion of Josh's donation adds an additional 2000+ cards to his total, for a combined value of $395.00 even! Thank you, Josh!
-
I keep the green guy in jall and the guy with the fire comeing up behind him.
Those are my two favorites as well.
-
Received my order today, thanks.
-
After counting an insane amount of cards, and having returned from a business trip, I have finally counted the last of the donations. Ben Arp contributed an additional 2969 cards, adding $655.10 to his total amount of credit!
That brings the total number of cards donated to the Storehouse to over 27,000! That is nothing short of amazing! Thank you all!
-
Apologies to Brad Coverdale, who left some cards with me the weekend of Midwest Regionals, and has been very patient with me as I thanked him for his donation, and left the cards sitting there, uncounted for a month.
Brad donated 287 cards, adding $165.70 worth of credit to his total.
-
Just wondering, but if someone had alot of non-SA cards they wanted to get rid of, would this be the place to do it? Just wanted to know, because you didn't exactly specify it in your first post and I didn't want to go through 17 pages... ;)
-
You can, but you won't get a lot for them. Unlimited and Prophet and starter commons only get you a nickel credit apiece.
-
Schaef,
What is the best way to send you a bunch of cards? I got around 2000ish cards I would like to donate, but not sure of the best way (cheapest ;D) to get them there and do I just use the address from the storehouse website???
Can you PM me and let me know???
I just signed up a few days for a nexus user id, so at least I can let know know which account is donating the cards.
Thanks,
Chris

Probably just dump them into a large mailing envelope. The padded kind are about a dollar, and depending on your location it would probably be six or eight bucks to ship USPS. Other than happening to be at a tournament where I also happen to be, I'm afraid I can't do much better. Orders over $50 get free shipping anyway, so while it may seem like I'm hurting you on the shipping, I basically give the money back the first time I fill an order. :)
-
Hey can u explain it a little bit better i don't really understand it
-
You send me old, unused cards.
I tell you the value of the cards you sent.
You get a 40% discount on any cards or games you order from my website, up to the contributed value.
-
where do they go?
-
Into big old boxes. I have donated about 4,000 cards so far to various playgroups that have been starting up around the country, and given away many to the kids in my own group. Basically, kids who want to get into the game but don't have a lot of disposable income to buy like 50 packs of cards.
I am also looking for other ways to resell the cards, like building all-commons decks for n00bs and selling them cheap.
-
Thats sweet I just need 2 get my collection up before i donate
-
hay schaef
I have a few kids in the area that are playing the game with each other with the E/F/G/H decks but agien have vary little money and I don't have the cards to keep them going for much longer and they are starting to get board with the decks so I have started getting together with them one at a time and showing them what some of the cards they have can do (one of them had a DoN and wasn't using it) and then if they really like a card I help them build a deck around it wether that means giving up a few cards of mine to help them. Just the other day I helped one of them build a conversion deck, but by doing this over and over I'm starting to run my coloection raged if you have a better way of doing this please PM with the details do that I can help them a little more.
Thanks for your help and GOD bless you day

I'm opening the gates a couple days early, Storehouse credit can now be used for Faith of Our Fathers tins. For the next month, there is a three-tin limit, unless you buy the complete set.
-
Many thanks to Zac Tendick, planning a return to Redemption after a long absence! He has traded in 207 cards valued at $14.25 to update his collection!
-
I'm not sure if this has been ask before but, can you get any card from the Storehouse?
-
I don't have complete sets, only what people donate, and about 95% of it is commons.
-
As of today, October 15, two months have passed since the release of the tins. Therefore, people with credit no longer have any restrictions on purchases of the tins. Buy all you want.
-
Ok, I finally got my act together and got a few thousand cards in the mail to you, so you should get them in 2-3 days, at least that is what the post office says.
So keep a lookout for a big Amazon box from Southington, CT...
Thanks,
Chris

Thank you!

I have given you more than enough to keep busy schaef :P!
-
Between you, Rod and Jonathan, I will never get caught up!
-
Hey Schaef,
I recently (last week) sent ya a box o cards for storehouse credit. When ya get a chance, just let me know how much credit it's worth-shoot me an email (should be on my profile).
Thanks and Godbless!
Steve Kamke
-
Schaef,
I'm sending a box of cards on Monday. The box will come from Graham, NC. Should be around 800? Maybe as many as a thousand, I haven't actually counted. Anyway, do your thing and let me know what I'm getting so I can hurry up and buy a bunch of FoOF tins from you. *grins*
~Jordan
*EDIT* Small box of cards sent today via UPS (at my father's business) from Graham, NC.
-
Quick update:
I'd been holding onto these until I got all my cataloging done but some people have been waiting a while on these. I'll post Steve's and Jordan's as soon as I can.
Rod Stewart, despite his best efforts, managed to get some value out of the 400+ cards he donated: $23.25, to be exact.
Jonathan Greeson donated over 1050 cards with a value of $260.40.
Brad Coverdale contributed an additional 1300+ cards worth $422.25!
Chris Mallett has donated over 3500 cards valued at $559.90!
Thank you all again for your generosity!
-
Another quick update:
Jordan Ausley has donated over 650 cards valued at $127.75! Thank you, Jordan!
-
I'll be sending in a box soon. I'll let you know.
-
How do new players get these cards?
-
Schaef,
I'm sending a box of cards UPS today. Please let me know when they arrive so that I don't worry. *sniff sniff* We grew attached to them and want to know they have a safe home. ;)
-
Steve Kamke is our newest contributor, submitting over 5,000 cards with a total value of $391.45!
-
Wow, that's a lot of cards!
-
You ain't seen nothin yet!
Craig Fountain's contribution has just been totalled at nearly 5900 cards with a total value of $727.45!
Those two contributions push the total number of cards donated to the Storehouse since its inception at 45,000 CARDS! Thank you all for being so generous!
-
Brief note, the prices on cards is back to our normal 10% discount, and Storehouse credit applies to 40% of the cost again.
-
Is this program still in operation? I mailed a small package of cards (about fifty Warriors cards with a Wrath of Satan tossed in) more than two months ago and haven't heard anything back. I don't mind waiting another two months if that's how long it takes to process, but I'd like to know if I should expect to hear back on them or if the cards are strictly a donation now. I tried emailing the creator of this topic a few weeks ago, but never got a response, so I'm not sure who to contact, hence why I'm posting my question here.
Thanks for any info anybody can give me!
-
It's probably the little schaef that is preventing big daddy from being up to date...little does he know I have a couple hundred cards ready to give him. Be patient, he'll get it straightened out ;D
-
Miles, I'm going to go ahead and give you $22.30 credit while I get things sorted out here. Can you PM me your RL name?
Meantime, I've discovered I have a couple items I need to tag with an owner.
The first item is a couple of starter deck boxes. If you gave these to me (I think at KY state), PM me and tell me the contents of those boxes (so I know who you are).
The second item is a pair of Redemption tins. If you gave these to me (same location), PM me and tell me what kind of tins they were and the special marking on one of them.
-
Thanks go out to Douglas Fargo, who donated 839 cards valued at $214.25, and to Drew Lawson, who donated 1,288 cards valued at $170.65.
Also, Brad Coverdale has donated an additional 117 cards worth $111.35!
The Storehouse is drawing very near to the 50,000 card mark!
-
I have just sent out a flat rate envelope with two freezer size bags full of cards (one had good and the other has bad). I put a note in it with my information. It's coming from Fresno, CA. I hope I get the credit in time for ROA :).
-
Schaef,
I will be sending 3 boxes of cards at the end of this week/beginning of next week. There are 3179 cards in the boxes and they are sorted by offense/defense and brigade. I am a former youth worker who used to give them away but God has led us in a different direction so I have no outlet for my extras. I will put all of my info in the boxes. This is my first post here, so "Hi" to everyone else.
-
hey there! Welcome to the boards!

ADDRESS CHANGE!!!
The Storehouse
627 Lambs Creek Ct.
Columbus, OH 43085
-
Schaef,
I sent 3 boxes of cards on Tuesday via UPS. They arrrived Thursday at 2. Did you get them? Sorry about the address, the last time I looked it was the former. whoeeia@hotmail.com
-
I have a question about the Storehouse. Can you send cards in exchange for a RoA set of cards only? Also, if the credit you get doesn't cover it all, can you pay cash for the rest? Thanks
-
You get credit for the cards, which you can use for 40% off anything Schaef sells at NewBeginningGames. I don't believe sets (cards only) of RoA (or FoOF) cards are available there.
-
This question is for anyone who has used storehouse credit before...I tried PMing Shaef a few days ago but haven't heard back yet, so I'm asking here.
Anyway, I have credit now, but have no idea how to use it on New Beginning Games. I'd like to order a few Redemption Starters to see if any of my ESL students would be interested in playing, and so I've got my order filled out but can't figure out how to apply the 40% discount. My assumption is that I need a gift certificate\promotional code, but I never received one...
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
-
I'll send one to you. Your last attempt to order threw me off a bit, because you did it right when I was in the process of upgrading my store software, so I wasn't fully prepared to accept orders or payment at that time.
There is still work to be done but I think I'm in the clear to accept orders now. RoA will be available soon, as well as out-of-tin sets for both expansions.
-
Will you be selling RoA cards by themselves? Like a complete set of just cards?
-

Chris McCravy's contribution from nationals amounted to 300 cards valued at $46.45. Thanks, Chris!
Martin Miller has contributed 148 cards valued at $27.75. Thanks, Martin!
Miles, I've not seen an order yet from you. What is your status on this?
-
Well, when you posted that you were going to be adding out of tin sets for FOOF and ROA I decided to wait and see what those would end up costing before ordering. Any word on when those will be available?
Plus, I was able to get my parents to ship me enough cards to play with my students from my personal collection (I could very well have the only Redemption cards in Korea now), so I'm in no rush at the present. Thanks

Did you get my storehouse contribution counted yet from nationals? (I gave them to ya in a shoebox taped shut)

They are on my website right now. Sorry, I didn't realize I had not added the out-of-tin products yet. Give me the weekend.
Did you get my storehouse contribution counted yet from nationals? (I gave them to ya in a shoebox taped shut)
Not yet but you're on the short list now. All cards from all contributors are sorted, and I am now counting the contributions from smallest to largest.
Speaking of which, Josh Kopp's contribution amounted to 361 cards valued at $57.75!
Incidentally, this puts us over 50,000 donated cards, not even counting the three largest contributors from Nationals week.
-
I'd assume I'm somewhere on that list too ;)
-
Not one to rest on the laurels of a 5000-card contribution, Steve Kamke has provided another 745 cards with a total value of $123.45.
Which is amazing, really, because I've got the same combination on my luggage.
-
Marti's contribution has been totaled. She donated over 2700 cards valued at $353.55!

Sssshhh....that's my bank code!! :D
-
Schaef,
I'm stuffing a box full of cards and sending them to The Storehouse. They should be in the mail Monday.
Godspeed,
Mike
-
At long last, Brad Coverdale's most recent contribution is counted.
Nearly 9500 cards valued at $1,195.10.
That means over 62,000 cards have been donated to The Storehouse, and I still have two more packages to count!
-
I'll be sending about 600 pretty soon
-
woot. I have storehouse credit 4EVA now! ;D
-
Mike Lasky's contribution has (finally) been counted. The total is 2446 cards valued at $581.10. Thanks, Mike!
-
Mark Houy's contribution has been catalogued and recorded! He sent nearly 3200 cards valued at $385.05. Thanks, Mark!
All contributors, be advised this is the final donation for which Priests will be credited at market value. Going forward, commons will be $.10 like most other sets.
-
Mike Lasky's contribution has (finally) been counted. The total is 2446 cards valued at $581.10. Thanks, Mike!
Wowzers, I didn't realize I had stuffed that many cards into the box. Time for Christmas shopping.
Schaef,
Do you carry Memoirs '44?
Godspeed,
Mike
-
what do you do with the credit again?
-
what do you do with the credit again?
buy stuff at New Beginning Games.
-
Do you carry Memoirs '44?
At this exact moment, no. I am looking for a way to get distribution for more Days of Wonder games than just Ticket to Ride stuff.
-
I've never used Storehouse before but I'm interested in donating some cards, so I have one quick question. Say I earned $40 of credit, can I purchase something like AOCP or can I only get booster packs and stuff like that?
-Austin
-
Uh...so, how does this Storehouse thing work, exactly? Can I donate as much of any kind of card that I want? Where do I send the cards to? What can I get with the credit I earn?
-

Ah, I see.
-
I don't see where it says you can buy singles. So I'm assuming that means you can't buy singles, right?
-
That is correct.

Darn. Oh well

Mr. The Schaef,
I have a new order to place to utilize some of my Storehouse Credit. Do I need a new discount code or do I use the previous one.
Please advise how to proceed.

Schaef,
Please respond to my email or pm.

Order Received. Thanks for offering the Storehouse!
-
O_O
wow, Quadruple postage!
sry to have digressed but i needed to say it
-
Update:
Discount credit is now only 30% off my posted price. Total discount off retail is still over 35%, but it's my turn to tighten my belt in this economy.
-
well.... i have about 400+ cards i would be willing to donate. my question is can i just use all of my credit at one time and lets say buy about 75 dollars off of the storehouse with all of the 400 which would be worth 100 dollars instead of doing a discount? also would i have to pay for my own shipping?
Adam
-
You can use the credit in any amount you wish, the only restriction is that 30% is the maximum discount.
So if you donate 400 cards, and let's say they're worth $100. If you bought $75 worth of product, you would get a discount of $22.50, and you'd have $77.50 left to spend. If you wanted to spend the whole hundred, you could buy $333 worth of stuff and take a $100 discount.
-
oh i meant like lets say using 100 dollars credit to buy like 10 dollars worth of stuff.
-
You only get three bucks off. 30% is the maximum discount. I can't give the stuff away, unfortunately.
-
ok... hmm now to decide if it is worth it or not. is shipping free? i have a discount at a local bookstore of 25%
-
ok... hmm now to decide if it is worth it or not. is shipping free? i have a discount at a local bookstore of 25%
With orders of $50 or more.
And keep in mind, this discount is 30% off my price, which is already 10% off retail. The actual total discount off retail would be 37%.
-
Why is nobody answering my question? :dunno:
I would answer if I knew how to respond, but I don't, so I didn't. No offense.
-
Why is nobody answering my question? :dunno:
Because the way the only person who can give you a definitive answer is Schaef. Basically, you tell him how big your playgroup is, and why you need the cards. You give him your address where you want them sent. And then he sends you cards.
At least it worked basically like that a couple years ago :)
-
PM Sent Schaef.
-
Hi, I was wondering how Storehouse works, cause I have a ton of extra cards?!? ;D
-
For more information visit The Storehouse (http://storehouse.redemptionnexus.com).
-
PM and cards sent!
-
Hey Schaef. I sent a couple PMs about how to receive some cards for a playgroup.
-
I'll bet this has been asked before, but do I have to sort out the cards I'm sending, or do the people receiving it do that for me? Because I have like an entire shoe box full of random cards that I'm sure I'll never use or trade away, and it would be convenient for me to just be able to tape it up and ship it off.
-
If I remember correctly, sorting wasn't 100% required, but... Come on, Schaef has a lot of cards to sort and process. Sort it :)
Schaef, are you going to Nats? If you are, can I bring cards there and donate without having to ship?
Thanks,
Cameron

You could send them to me because for some strange reason, I enjoy sorting cards. :P
-
...Would you seriously do that?
-
Sure, if you pay for postage to me and to storehouse (and maybe with an enticing card that I might need (none of the top UR's of course)).
-
That would be quite convenient; would you like a CoM for your efforts?
-
PM Sent Mr. Schaef.

This is a question for any who knows. Say I spend right at $50 to get free shipping. If I use the 30% discount that The Schaef lets us use to take it down to $35 is there shipping again since it is not $50, or because I got to $50 the is still no shipping cost. Just wanting to know for future purchases. Thanks!
-
I would think the tax and shipping costs are the same no matter what, and don't calculate into the discount. Makes sense if you think about it.
-
The *final* cost of your product must be at least $50.
If an average order costs $10 to ship, and you order $30 (original) worth of product, the combined savings of the site discount and the Storehouse credit basically covers the cost of shipping (sale price just under $20). So if you order at least $30 worth of cards, even if you pay for shipping, you're saving money. If you order $80 (original) worth of product, you're only paying $50 (sale price) AND the shipping is free. That's value.
-
Also, there's an address change. See the website for details.
-
I was interested in making a donation but am not sure how to go about it. Not sure the exact # of cards yet. I have played for awhile but never noticed this thread :-[ . I have 3 2000ct boxes that I will be going through to let some commons and uncommons go from every set through angel wars. ps I went to the website and it does not show the new address. could you post it here?
-
http://storehouse.redemptionnexus.com/ (http://storehouse.redemptionnexus.com/)
It's the only address on the page.
-
I keep getting a "this account has been suspended" message. Is everyone having this problem?
-
The account has been suspended. I am working with the hosting company to get it lifted.
It's just a stupid thing with the photo gallery cache being screwed up. It would be easier to fix if they would just let me back in.
-
Since the website isn't letting me sign in, is there anyway I can place an order with you and then we can go from there? Or would you rather wait until the system starts working right?
-
Which site are you visiting that you can't "sign in"? All sites are operational, and newbeginninggames.com does not require registration to place an order.
-
Sorry! New beginnings was popping up saying that it wasn't secure. I can log in. Would you send me my discount code, and I'll order something from you guys! Thanks!

Does anyone know what order The Schaef organizes his cards? I have several I would like to send, but I'd like to just go ahead and organize them to make it easier.
-
I sort by type, by brigade, then alphabetically. So any sorting you do, prioritize in that order from greatest to least. In other words, I can alphabetize if the same colors are together, and I can separate by color if the same types are together, so start with type, then box them up when you get bored and I'll do the rest.
-
Ok cool! That is how I have all my cards sorted. I didn't know if you wanted me to split them into expansions or not! I'll get a box for them and send them your way by the end of the week! :D
-
Okay, I sent a big shipment of cards in via my sorter Ironica a long time ago and I haven't gotten any sort of confirmation that they were received. Were they received?
-
I have a package that I am sending when I have time. I sorted them first by value (i.e. I put the Rares/UR/Promos/etc. together, then the 10 cent cards, then the five cent cards). Then I sorted them by type, then brigade, then expansion (I believe) then alphabetically.
Right now it's in my room. It's quite hefty, so I have to wait until I'm motivated enough to take it to the post office. Hopefully this weekend.

Still concerned.
-
I have a box here that I think might be the one you're looking for.
-
It's a big black shoebox with a white sort of stripe on it containing the brand name...which I don't remember. :P

Actually, I sent it in another box.
I still have the shoe box if ya want it :P

Oh...well...
by the way, Schaef, it is actually definitely not in a big black shoebox.
-
Hey Schaef, did you ever get my box? I sent it about a month or so ago.
-
So...can I get any kind of response please?
-
Was the first response not good enough?
-
I just want some kind of proof that I have the credit, before I totally forget about this.
-
You have the credit.
-
Well...okay. How much though?
-
Based on the number of cards you submitted, enough so that you would have to try really really hard to use it all up with a single order. I can get you an exact number soon but I'll need time to catalog everything.
-
Okay, thanks a bunch. Apologies for pestering. (I learned that from my dad.)
-
(I learned that from my dad.)
The apologies or the pestering?
-
I meant specifically pestering about things involving money. My dad was a landlord...
-
Hey Schaef,
I got my TeP packs from you, but I never got my gift set. I was wondering if it just accidentally didn't get in the package, or what was going on.
Thanks!!
-
Chris Fachman's contribution has been calculated.
In addition to the 950 cards originally sent, a second contribution of 1170 cards was made, bringing the total contribution to 2,120 cards. After the purchase made using the accumulated credit, his remaining credit is $100.90.
Thank you all for your patience during an (inexcusably long) transition period. The calculation of the package sent by Jeremy Volk is forthcoming.
-
Not one to rest on the laurels of a 5000-card contribution, Steve Kamke has provided another 745 cards with a total value of $123.45.
Which is amazing, really, because I've got the same combination on my luggage.
Awesome reference. I just about died laughing when I read that last line.
-
He was serious. I am hoping he brings that same luggage to the next Nats.
-
You know, it is the same combination for my Athomsphere Shield as well ;)

Looks like someone's trying to thieve my copy of Star Wars: The Queen's Gambit from my hotel room.
-
I thought you were bringing Ohio State-opoly.
-
how do you get cards from storehouse?
-
Schaef, If you have cards available for playgroups I have a new( 4 month old) playgroup starting. Currently there are 6 kids in the group. I have given them all starters but I would use more starters for others that could play. Plus I could use any commons/uncommons that could help build general decks or theme decks.
-
i have 2000+ unsorted cards and i know you do store credit some sort of thing but i was wondering if i could get like 1/4 the value of the credit in cash is that ok or not
-
I can't speak for Schaef, but I am fairly certain he wouldn't be able to give anyone cash for Storehouse cards. He gives the Storehouse cards away, and receives nothing in return (except gratitude, I'm sure) and thus there would be no way to fund giving away cash. But you should definitely check out his store site here (http://www.newbeginninggames.com). You might find something you'd like.
-
Hey Scheaf I started a play group and we have about 6-8 and growing. I was wondering if you have any extra starters or anything. I have been giving away starters i think like 6. The nearest book store is a 45 min drive away. I have some commons and uncommons but with more and more kids coming that pile seems to be getting smaller and smaller is there any way you could help.

he hasn't repliled to my PMs

Don't you remember? Schaef was on Santa's naughty list, so he got eaten by a shark.

I have some questions about the credit
1) Can you cash out? For instance if I had $100 worth of credit could i ask for it in cash?
2) Can i use my credit to fully buy a product? For instance, if I had $100 worth of credit could i buy something that was $50 and not pay anything and just reduce my credit by $50?
If these are possible i would really like to know thank you.

If you read about it at all, you would know that neither of those are true.

It might have been awesome for you, but what about Schaef?
-
That would not be awesome because people like Briangabe would get a TON of free packs/tins and totally own us.....

Hey, how about we have this argument in the off-topic section. STOP SPAMMING!!!!
-
I have a ton of duplicate cards I would like to get rid off, is the Storehouse still active? I don't want to send any cards if no one is going to receive them.
John
-
I've been starting playgroups left and right, and would like some cards to give out to new players to encourage them to start making their own decks. I'll receive them, I just can't offer you a discount on anything.
-
Is the Storehouse still functioning? I've got a bunch of commons/uncommons laying around, and would like to see them put to good use. Plus the idea of getting a discount on new cards sounds pretty good too. ;)

I'm not sure if Schaef is still running this or not. It's been a long time since I remember him saying anything about it here on the forum.
I think I remember that LordZardeck was starting some sort of program where people would donate cards to him and then he would use them to create complete decks to give to new playgroups.
The third option would be to simply donate them to a playgroup leader like SomeKittens, myself, or others, and I'm sure that they'd be able to distribute them among their players.
-
I want them to go to good use, but I'm not sure I'm ready to 'give em away.' :-\ If I'm going to do that I'll just search harder for people to give em to in my area so that I don't have to pay for shipping.
I'm not exactly a rich man in redemption terms (or monetary terms for that matter :P ) and I was hoping to expand my collection at a discount via the storehouse's 30% off ANB games thing.
Wow, saying that out loud made me sound like a penny pinching scrooge. :-[

How about trying to be a good steward of God's money! :) By the way, we all know exactly where you are coming from in that regard!

Ditto. I'll give cards away, but I'm not blessed enough financially (yet!) to pay for shipping.
-
I don't know whether this is still going on, either. For anyone who is interested in donating cards for discounted prices OR any playgroup leader who is interested in receiving free cards for your group, please email me at Ken@ThreeLionsGaming.com. Let me know which category you fall in, and I will explain what I can make available. :)
Thanks!

Hey there,
What would you say the average amount of credit is if I donated around 150+ common cards? :D
-
Email me for more information about my program if you're interested...
-
I think I remember that LordZardeck was starting some sort of program where people would donate cards to him and then he would use them to create complete decks to give to new playgroups.
Yes and no. I originally started with the plan to make complete decks, but now that seems illogical since I'd have to spend lots of time designing different decks. Instead, to make compatible with the Academy's course, i'm making supplementary "sets". Cards to help a new player extend and create new decks from the starter decks. That way I can write the course based on the starter decks, and it doesn't matter what cards I get, the instructions stay the same. This is going to take some time however, as I'm still in the process of getting the course written.

Is this still going on?

Is this still going on?
Schaef left the message boards several months ago, and even before then this hadn't been active for some time. So I would presume not.
-
Is this still going on?
I know that Ken4Christ was making some offers in The Schaef absence, but I don't know if he was still doing that or not. I was actually thinking today about starting up something very similar to this since Schaef has left us. What were you interested in and I might be able to help!
-
I am getting ready to sell my collection, and I have 1,752 commons/uncommons. I wanted to find how much they could be donated for and sell them for 60-75% of that amount, so I get some decent money from otherwise "useless" cards and the buyer would still benefit by getting a decent little return on their "investment" by way of discounts toward more Redemption product.

Well there is no way I would buy any cards at this moment considering the collection you are trying to sell is tiny compared to what I'm trying to unload. :) But, if you don't sell the cards in the near future and I get something like this started, we can probably work out something.
-
I can't offer quite as good of a discount as The Storehouse, but my plan is to coordinate people with extra cards and playgroups who can use them. I will offer a 20% 'rebate' on any booster packs, starter decks, tins, or single cards on Three Lions Gaming using the credit from the value of cards someone sends to interested playgroups.
To anyone interested in donating: You can email me at Ken@ThreeLionsGaming.com to let me know you are interested in donating cards. It's helpful if you can give me an idea about what sets the cards are from, rarity, etc, but I don't need too much information. I will then email you back with the address of a playgroup, and you will be responsible for shipping the cards to the group. After they have tallied the value, I will email you to let you know what it is. For example, if you send me cards that are valued at $100 based on current Three Lions Gaming prices, you could purchase up to $100 in cards and receive a 20% rebate on those cards (up to $20). You would place your order like normal on Three Lions Gaming, and I will refund 20% of the purchase price when your order is sent. You can store up credit as long as you would like and use all or some of it at any time for any cards we have in-stock. Unused credit is carried over to your next purchase. If we do not have a card, pack, starter deck, or tin in stock, it is not eligible for this offer. Credit may be given away if both the giver and receiver email Ken@ThreeLionsGaming.com to let us know it needs to be transferred.
To any playgroups interested in receiving donations: All I would ask of you and your playgroup is that you email me at Ken@ThreeLionsGaming.com to let me know what type of cards you'd prefer to receive and if there is anything that you do not want. I will email you when I have a donation available to make sure you are still interested. If you accept the donation, you are responsible for adding the total value of the donation based on current Three Lions Gaming prices and reporting back to me within 3 weeks of when you receive the cards. Aside from that, the cards are yours to use for your playgroup!
If you have any questions, you are welcome to email me, PM me, or post here. :) I am doing it so that cards can get to people who can use them, and potentially increase sales at Three Lions Gaming.
God bless,
Ken

Thanks for doing this Ken! I'm really glad to see this program back up and running again :)
P.S. I miss Schaef.

You're welcome - so far we've helped two playgroups!
