Cactus Game Design Message Boards

Hey everybody, long time no talk. Some of you might remember me from the old message board (I had the weird .gif animation of some dude trying to get in a door). My name is Burton Reed and I'm still living down in Florida where our playgroup has grown up a bit and we're no longer staying up to date with all the expansions. So I'm keeping a few of each card to make a decks with for when we get together and play, but I'm looking to unload all of my extra cards that I no longer need. It would be easier for me and probably you guys if I did this here before going to ebay.

I don't have a good number for all the ultra rares and promos I'm looking to sell, but they probably number close to 150-200ish. If it came from anything prior to Angel Wars I probably have multiple copies of it for trade, Angel wars I have less of, and anything after that there's nothing much to speak of.

I'm sure you guys keep more up to date on the prices, so just list what you want and how many, and a good price. I'll be checking the latest prices to see what the cost of the cards are floating around at, name something smaller than what's on the price list but don't quote something you know is ridiculous.

I always kept excellent care of my cards, anything I'm selling is in mint condition. I'll sell cards that were always kept in hard cases first, after that I'll take some that were played with, but they were always in sleeves and in boxes so their condition should still be mint. If it's not mint condition I'll let you know.

I have every card from limited, unlimited, women, prophets, warriors, apostles, patriarchs, and kings. Some extra from Angel wars. I even have promos from board games for sale. Here's the wikipedia article on pogs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pogs . They're pretty much little cut outs with pictures on them, originally used to play some sort of game but mostly used for collecting now. I believe the images are from the original A&B decks, there's a total of 100 of them. Maybe someone else could help with more information about them, I'm not sure how many sets were made total or what year they came out.

Here are some general suggestions for success at selling a large number of cards.

1.  Pull out all the Ultrarare and Promo cards that you have.  Almost all of these have a gold border around them.
2.  Check out what those cards are worth by going here.
3.  Decide whether you want to sell all the cards as individuals (so individual players will buy them) or in bulk.
     a.  Individuals: set the price far below what you see at the above site if you want to sell quickly.
          1.  If a card is worth more than $10, then sell it for 75% of value
          2.  If a card is worth between $5 and $10, then sell it for 50% of value
          3.  If a card is worth less than $5, then sell it for $1
     b.  Bulk: It depends on whether you want your collection to be bought by resellers or playgroup leaders.
          1.  Resellers: set the price at around half of what the total value of the Ultrarare/Promos are and wait for offers.
          2.  Playgroup leaders: split the collection into groups of 1000 card sets.  Split the Ultrarare/Promos into equal
               groups so that each set gets an equal amount.  Then post the options on the forum and wait for offers.

Redemption pogs are still up for sale for $35, although I realized that two are missing for some reason. I have a feeling it was like that when I acquired them.
