Long-cut Cards
« on: December 10, 2010, 10:59:52 AM »

This thread is for Rob Anderson, who wishes to know what a "long-cut" card is.  I would like someone to give an explanation of the whole "long-cut" deal.

Thanks and God bless,
Ian Vroon

The long cut cards are cards from Priest packs that were (as far as I know) only released at Nationals in NY. They were rushed, weren't cut properly, and couldn't be properly fixed before nats.

Yes, but there were also long-cut cards from the G & H decks, were there not?

I had heard somebody mention it, but I don't know why they would be that way. Again, just an error in the cutting of the cards.

G/H cards were printed on a thicker card stock than previous sets but I have not seen any long cut G/H cards, at least not to the degree of the Priests long cuts.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Yeah, I got a long-cut or two from you, Nick. :P

By the way, I've gotten two long-cut G decks ...I was just hoping for a description of long-cut cards for Rob Anderson.  Thanks!

What Rob Anderson are you talking about? If you are referring to the creator of the game Rob Anderson, he already knows about the long cuts, he was the one who made the announcement that the cards were like that...

I have some. When you stack all of your cards in those humongous boxes, only certain cards stick out as longer cut. I have a mixture of Priests and G/H cards that do that.

Gotcha...

Yep.  It's just that, after getting my second long-cut G & H deck from cactus, I emailed him again, and he said he wasn't sure what I meant by "long-cut."  Thus the confusion.

Thanks and God bless,
Ammian

Ah, that makes sense.  Good luck getting normal cut decks.
