Cactus Game Design Message Boards

Hello everyone, I'm sure that many of you are aware of the work John Michaliszyn does at Creation Festival every year. For those of you who are unaware, Creation Fest is a huge, annual, week-long concert with various bands, including the likes of Skillet, Chris Tomlin, Newsboys, and other big names in Christian music, which takes place at the end of June, in central PA. John runs a Redemption booth at Creation each year, and he does an outstanding job at making Redemption sound fun. He runs local tournaments all week long, and the whole experience is just an absolute blast. I've never met a more generous person in my life, and last year his generosity started to rub off on me, and over the course of the week, I gave away my collection of about 800 commons, uncommons, and rares to various kids and teens that were either new to the game or simply didn't have a lot of cards. I've been inspired to do the same thing this year, but on steroids.

What I'm asking for is any cards that you have just lying around. I don't have a whole lot of money to spend right now (I may at a later date), but I do have a decent amount of Ultras and Promos (along with a lot of stuff from TexP) that I'd be willing to let go to cover the costs of the cards and shipping. Call me ambitious, but I'd like to get 5,000 cards MINIMUM to bring to Creation this year. I have no idea what the actual sales figures are, but if I had to guess, I'd say John sells at least 100 starter decks over the course of the week (maybe Marti, Sam, Nate, or John himself can give me an estimation), as well as a ton of booster packs. I kind of have this vision to be able to give away a whole stack of cards to everyone who buys Redemption cards for the first time as a kind of "Welcome" from myself and the whole Redemption community.

At the moment I don't have the energy to post the list of cards that I have for trade, but I'll work on that and have it up soon. As I said before, I cannot cover shipping costs right now, so if you're not willing to accept cards to cover that price, but still have cheap cards that you're willing to give/trade for the cause, I'll hopefully have the money to start covering shipping costs soon. If you have any specific needs, please PM me or post in this topic and I can tell you if I have any cards you're looking for. Donations of cards or money to cover shipping is most certainly appreciated, as it really is going towards a good cause.

Would you also be willing to take some non-mint, pretty worn cards too?
