Title: Huge Collection for sale! 1100 cards (no doubles) rare items!
Post by: jaydeecrawson on March 21, 2013, 11:21:51 AM
To put it plainly, I was recently laid off and I’m in a desperate financial situation. I need to sell my Redemption card collection. I literally started collecting Redemption cards in 1995 when they were first released. I purchased my first pack at a baseball card store in Fayetteville, GA. The remaining portions of my collection were purchased at Family Christian Bookstore and Joshua’s Christian Bookstore. For over ten years, I was the only person I knew who played Redemption. I continued to collect until about 3 or 4 years ago. I have a total of 1,090 individual cards. I have misprints, ultra rare, hard to find, and extremely scarce cards. Each card is housed in its own sleeve and are all in mint condition. In fact, my friends and I made up our own rules because the official rules were so confusing and baffling to us. So on the whole, this collection is a private, well made collection with NO doubles. I have taken some pictures of the cards that I think are rare, but to be honest, I’m pretty clueless about what I have because as I said, I sort of collected these on my own. I’ve never even played in a tournament. Here is the low down on what I have:

239 Evil Enhancements (skulls)
170 Evil Characters (dragons)
7 Half Skull/ half snake cards
44 Lost Souls
3 Grim Reaper Cards
6 Rainbow Skulls
3 Rainbow Fortresses
1 Tournament rainbow evil character (self)
29 artifacts
7 half Bible/ half artifacts
16 Rainbow Bible enhancements
27 Site Cards
4 good rainbow sites
1 evil rainbow site
11 rainbow lamb cards
1 good rainbow fortress
304 Good Enhancements (Bibles)
217 Hero (Cross Cards)
19 gold border cards
Faith of our Fathers Tin Set (expansions)

I really don’t want to sell individual cards because I’m not going to play anymore. My friends don’t play anymore either. Please help me out. I’m willing to sell my collection at a reasonable price. In all, I bet I spent a fortune on this collection because I bought 99.9% of it in the store, just buying packs. Please, please, please help. Send me a PM with offers and we'll go from there. I've tried to include some pictures, but I'm not sure how to do it. Thank You.

It may help to post which Grim Reaper/ Lamb icon cards you have as well as LSs with special abilities, Ultra Rare cards, and post when you stopped buying (i.e. maybe your most recent cards are Disciples etc.) You can tell most ultra rare cards by their gold box surrounding the card.

Also, I suggest you post the names of the cards that have gold borders around them (ultra-rares), and all of your lamb dominant cards.

On several of your cards, like King of Tyrus and Household Idols, you will notice a golden background/border around the card. It looks like this:

For those who want a quick synopsis (from what I could see), he has:
   Falling Away
   Michael (Wa)
   TSA (Wa)
   Gabe (Wa)
   GoYS
   King of Tyrus (Priests)
   Captain (Wa)
   2 Liner lost souls
   Harvest Time (Wa)
EDIT: and a NJ dominant
 * In fact, a lot of these cards seem to be Warriors.
Anyway, that is what I saw at a quick glance.  I hope this helps jaydee gets rid of his cards easier.

It looks like you stopped collecting after Priests came out. The orange brigade King of Tyrus is valuable. Do you have the gold brigade one too? I noticed that you have other Warriors cards like Harvest Time, Captain of the Host, Michael, and The Strong Angel. Do you have Wrath of Satan (a black brigade enhancement)? I noticed Falling Away, New Jerusalem (dominant), and the Lost Souls card, which are all valuable as well.

Some gold border ultra-rares are not worth so much, but you will want to list them all anyway.

I noticed that you have Self, which is a District promo. Do you have other promo cards from tournaments, or did you get that online?

I quit collecting after the new brigade colors were introduced. I think it was orange or silver, teal or something like that so i have some of those too

like i said, it's a grab bag. I know that I bought a bunch of those tins too.

Just curious, what did you do for those 10 years when you didn't have anyone to play with? just collect?

I do have some Faith of our Father cards though.

I had one friend that played with me but he borrowed my cards. for years and years i never played with anyone

I have two other friends that I made decks for and they got into it, but like i said, we created our own rules until the brigade colors got all confusing

Well, if you ever feel like getting back into the game and aren't sure about something, this is a great community to ask ruling questions or even basic clarifications that can get confusing.

Well, someone just made a pretty impressive bid, so I'm waiting to hear back from the person. It's been $75 - $100

I'll take $100 for them all plus shipping

You could probably get more than $100 for your collection. You may want to see what offers come in now that the price point has been shown publicly. Of course, if you just want a quick sale, then you do what you must.  ;)

Just a guess since there are so many unknowns here, but I would've be surprised to see this go for $150 or even a bit more.
