Title: How far back with full sets?
Post by: Adevine on May 11, 2017, 10:04:51 PM
Hey guys, just wondering.  I am starting a binder with full sets...currently working on PC, CoW, and RoJ.  How far back would you recommend I go?  I am thinking Disciples maybe or EC?

I would go back to TexP. Everything before that you can get in the new packs.

thanks!  I was wondering for the TxP though...does Cactus still have those in stock?  I have yet to see them on the store site.  And yes, I wouldn't go back any further....all the extra cards in the newer packs from older sets is kinda overflowing right now.LOL

oh for the TxP, you think if I bought a box that would net me the set?  I know there are not as many cards in that set.

Honestly, it would be cheaper for you to buy a complete set than a box of TxP (unless you wanted a bunch of old cards with it, which you probably don't). I'll send you a PM with a good price I'll sell you a set for.

Probably easier to buy the complete set (as Watchman mentioned) or even the complete set minus Grapes and Mayhem as those are the only expensive cards from that set. Then you can just work on acquiring enough cards to make trades for Mayhem and Grapes.

On second thought...with the way you've been pulling chase cards I'm guessing if you bought a box you would pull Mayhem and Grapes...  ;D

Now that would be awesome!  But I think I am going to go with Watchmen on this one.

I agree .  I believe it took me roughly 3 boxes to get a complete set of TxP .  If I remember correctly, I got several of the Mayhem and Grapes cards before I completed my set.

If I recall correctly Txp doesn't really have rarity so you have just as much chance of pulling Grapes of Wrath as Mayhem as Salome as A Soldier's Prayer etc etc.
