Error TexP?

I have a gomer card, where the holofoil stuff doesn't match up with the intended card. Is this an error, is it worth anything (besides the actual card value).

You can find the image here:

As you can see, the card is offset, and the holofoil doesn't match up with where it was intended to go.

I've seen a fair number of cards like that, blurry because the top layer was offset. I don't think they're worth anything extra, but I don't really keep up with that sort of thing, haha.

Are there any known TexP errors that are worth something beyond the value??

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Legolas has a susana with an eyelash that got under the gloss layer during printing, is that worth anything? ;D

Maybe if it was the actual Susanna's eyelash!   ;)

I have been looking into giving more value to certain errors on TLG. I have seen several Gomer cards like yours. So if there were value attached to error cards beyond the Women's set errors and the white Angels that are out there, what would you think would qualify as an error worth giving more value to? Here are a few I came up with...

1) Card Layout Error: If every card printed in a set has the same error (i.e. Kindness with a Cross instead of a Bible) then I would not give it more value but instances where this is not the case could certainly have more value (but I can't think of any like this currently).
2) Printing Errors: If there are cards that have obvious and recurring errors but are not as wide spread as the previous example then perhaps more value could be given (i.e. this Gomer card for instance).
3) Packaging Errors: There are several cards that have a top edge that has ridges like a Ruffles potato chip which comes from the machine that sealed booster packs getting a hold of it. Since this is very rare to come across I have considered giving these cards more value.

Basically as you work down the list, the rarity of the particular error gets higher and higher which would mean the value would go up incrementally from basically zero difference with the first one, a bit more with the second one, and a substantial amount more with the third one. What are your thoughts?

But what about the eye lash? ;D

In all seriousness, i think thats good, cause it would be fun to open a pack, get something like a shipwrecked, and then it has potato chip edges, and it's suddenly worth more! but then, people will start counterfeting potato chip cards to get more money. or maybe they wont, this is a christian card game after all, that would be sort of against the point of it all.

Also, ive never seen a ruffles card, do they still fit in sleeves, and does anyone have a picture of one?

They fit in sleeves, but they would not be tournament legal because they are very easily distinguishable even when in sleeves. As for making fake ruffle cards, we are only talking about cards that were in the foil booster packs and to my knowledge, only one or two sets saw that error. Not a ton of value in those sets anyway, but could make opening those packs a bit more interesting.

Some have just a bit of ruffle on either the top right or left of the card, others have the ruffles all the way across. I believe all of the cards I have like this are from the Kings set, though I might have seen a card from the Unlimited set like that...don't remember for sure.
