donate old cards?

Hello everyone,

So, after many, many years I am actually back playing Redemption! My son is now old enough to play Redemption and is loving it! So are the youth at my church and down at the teen center. With various donations of old cards, I have been able to build 5 basic decks, 5 moderate decks and 5 advanced decks. The kids are hooked. They want to build their own decks!

The trouble is, we are playing with only the early sets; cards which are hard to find (C & D starters and earlier). So, I am looking for a lot of cards, especially from the womens set, the warriors set, and C & D starters. Would anyone like to help us out? I am just looking for donations at this point. If you have a lot you would be willing to donate to a good cause, I will willingly cover shipping. Drop me an e-mail at gray0013@outlook.com.

Thanks!
Doug

Hi Doug,

Glad you and the kids are having fun with Redemption! You mentioned that you are using C and D starter deck cards and are additionally interested in womans and warriors cards. All of these cards are scroll cards that would fit a "Classic" format. I don't know how long you have been out of the game, but since after 2021 Nationals, there are two formats created: Classic and Rotation. The Classic format includes cards with the scroll image at the bottom of the card that hold the Bible reference of the card. The text of the special ability of the card is on top of the card's art. The Rotation format only includes cards with the formatting, and that is with the special ability text in a box and the bottom portion of the card and with it's art free of any obstruction. The Classic format includes both the older scroll cards and the newer Rotation cards. Are you interested in the newer and stronger cards? A Rotation format in the only format allowed in State level and higher tournaments and is the more common and dominant format. Or do you wish to only use the scroll cards? Happy you are back in the game!

Sincerely,

Charlie

Hi Charlie,

We aren't really interested in playing in any tournaments, just play among ourselves at church and down at the teen center. But, I need to specific what cards they can use. So, for the sake of deck building, we are only using the L/UL, Prophets, WotB, Warriors and C & D. I am also working in some reprints found in the Kings set as well, so long as the playability matches. So, yes, I am looking for old scroll cards.

Thanks,
Doug
