~1400 miles. 20 MPG = 70 gallons. $210 + $50 for a bit less mileage/tolls/whatever

260 / 6 (like I said, how many?) = $43.33 each.
260 / 4 = $65 each
260 / 8 = $32.50 each
double that.

So, here's my optimistic budget:

Transportation = $90 (This could be more or less depending on group size.)
Lodging = $55 (3 nights, $70 a night, shared with 3 other people - probably will be a bit more than this)
Food = $40 ($5 per meal with 2 meals a day for 4 days)
Tournament Expenses = $45 (this is with the bare essentials - tournamnet fee and booster draft - without including cards of self or the new set, meaning the total will probably be a little more for most people)
Total = $230

Including any surprises in there, I think $300 would be more than enough to pay for all expenses involved with nationals, at least for me. I'm liking this, I'm liking this a lot...

Bill said he's flying. Bany might be up for a road trip if Scott can't make it.

$130 for driving max. that could be cut in half, but...
$120 a night for a hotel for 3 nights divided by 3 people=$120 (and no, I didn't enter that into a calc. I'm not THAT stupid)
$50 for food
$75 for tournament fees
$275 total. plus $25 to make an even number and unforseen fees. it could be $70 less though. depends on how many people go...
right now we're looking at BB, Sauce, Myself, and RDT?
if Belle, Maddy, and Scott could make it, it'd be perfect. (instaposted)
The lodging is what scares me. I've only stayed in a hotel once. I was 6. I have no idea about their prices :D.
didn't you stay awhile ago with us? or was that Jason?

Hey guys,

I just talked to my loving mommy. She said she'd be alright with me going as long as I have the money.

So, here is my list of expenses. Please tell me if anything is wrong.

Gas = $50 (If we get 6 people. This estimate is a little on the high side, but its better to have too much than be stranded in Ohio.)
Hotel = $0 for me, likely. If I'm unable to stay for my aunt (they're planning on moving. Not sure when, though), I vote we stay at a cheap hotel. Maybe $120 if I share a room with 2 more people?
Food = NO IDEA. PLEASE ADVISE.
Tournament Money = $100? This doesn't really matter TBH
Tolls = $10? I have no idea.

So $280 + Food?
I think your gas might be a little bit small. again, I'm crunching numbers tonight during the Duke game.
Tournament would be around $75 at most. 25 registration, 25 booster (I doubt it's that high...) 25 for your own card!
but yeah, that's a pretty good estimate. I'm planning on bringing a box or two of poptarts, so food for 5 days, 2 meals, supposing you get a $5... 50ish.
wow. this is turning out to be cheaper than I thought.
oh, and RDT, my dad defines adult as 25+

Your father should take that up with President Obama then :)
That's cool though, find somebody 25+ ,like him *hint hint, wink wink*

I also just thought: I don't know anyone in Canada, but I hear there are Redemption players there, and if they wanted to tag along we could pick them up. I suppose this is true of anyone in IA, WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, NJ, NY, CT, RI, or MA as well. :P

If you would were going any where near Pittsburgh or North East Ohio and if you have room Id like to got Nats.(I have the money.) If you wouldnt mind pickin me up and if you had the room Id be more than willing to go.

Dear RED,

If you cannot spell the name of the word quoted but two words before your post, then something's wrong. and this is not master Volk's thread. that would be BB. which is why we can make this into a nats trip think-tank. blame it on TDK (Trolling is Dead to this Kid)

Actually, I think we need a 21+ age person or something, or else driving with more than like 3 people would be illegal, wouldn't it? You tell me I guess...

I'm not 100% sure how it works, I don't have my manual on me. This may be different in each state, also.

In your first 6 months of having a License, you can only have ONE non-family member in your vehicle.
In your first year, you may only have 5 passengers total? Something like that.

So, we need people who have had their license for more than a year. I'll go look for my manual.

We never answered. RW asked what town do you live in? We don't have anything worked out, but you can definitely be included if we can have you.

I found my Driver's Manual. All drivers must have had their license for atleast 1 year, or else a PARENT (it doesn't say person over the age of 21, it says parent/guardian) must be present.
