Which is the better Redemption hero?
-
Asahel purely on combo potential.
-
This'll probably be one of the tightest this round. I'm sticking by my Moses guns, Transfiguration can do wonders with him.

Ehud is better in all situations except for possibly brigade. Unless of course you're referring to the banding, in which case Israelite Archer is better. Since Asahel can't use both of his abilities each battle, and Ehud and IA are in the same brigade, gold wins, IMO.
Moses for versatility, unstoppability, and straight up muscle.

I'm referring to ANB.

Asahel doesn't go well with any small combos, can't win battles all by himself, and simply isn't in a good brigade for backup. Moses got all that.
-
I honestly don't know how this is sooo close. Moses is more versatile, in a brigade that can back him up, and has some cbn enhancements that can be played on him...he fits into sooo many decks and can win tons more battles that asahel could in the red brigade.

This here has me soooo stoked.

I think some playtesters must be voting. :)

The fact that Asahel/Grapes essentially became another AotL gives him the edge in my mind.
-
Asahel is essential to any Red deck. Moses is essential to any Gold deck.
Neither of these are very good at the top level. Point - no one
Asahel is easy to splash into any deck as a 2 card combo with Grapes for an auto win. Moses can be splashed with Transfig into any deck with White heroes for a very likely win.
Top decks have Grapes anyway, so it takes less, and is more likely to work with Asahel. Point - Asahel
Asahel is not really useful in other decks (except for the Grapes play). Moses can also be good in a FBN deck, or a few other less powerful decks due to his MANY identifiers.
Versatility point - Moses
Asahel can't win battles by himself. Moses can.
Raw power - Moses
I love Asahel, but winner = Moses
-
Red and Gold don't seem to have much in hero power. Gold's got Abom (An offense centered around an EE? What?) and Judges (Won't even mention.) Red's just .... Red. Though I seem to be getting the drift that red might be the new shiny once Patriarchs2 comes out.
-
I splashed Asahel in one of my type 2 decks with David's Mighty Men. Just choose a warrior class evil character that gives you int. and use a CBN battle winner. That doesn't necessarly make him better, but it makes him useful.

I hadn't heard that ruling. But I'm a Moses fan until death.

Agree.
- I also think Moses will win because the new Aaron can band to him.

But Asahel can band to Abishai and Abishai can band to Helez and Helez can band to Maharai and Maharai can band to Heldai and Heldai can band to Isrealite Archer and Isrealite Archer can band to Captain of the Host and Captain is just about as good as Moses .(if not better being its hard to capture him) Thats besides the point of Grapes and Asahel and Asahel can CTB (at times)

What's the big deal with Asahel and Grapes?
-
I guess "Shuffle" was ruled to be the same as "Return to deck" and thus Asahel is protected from return abilities.
-
Asahel and Grapes is just the tip of the iceburg... Just sayin.

Oh dear. Another wonderful combo I can tell my players about after it's errata'd
-
I'm actually surprised Asahel is not winning. I find him much more useful.
-
Definitely Moses.
