Which is the better Redemption hero?
Isaiah [FooF2]
Armorbearer

And now Armorbearer has an opponent that's in the current meta, he goes down.

I'm actually surprised people aren't still voting for him "because he works with Sam." Nice to see people are actually starting to think about their votes. ;)

I don't like statements like this. I don't mean to direct my frustration at you, personally, browarod, this is just more of a general statement. I voted for Armorbearer last time because Simeon was a bad hero not worth voting for. Armorbearer had more use, and while he wasn't, without support, the better hero, he's more useful in this meta and in general, he gets invited to more parties than Simeon does. If I (and indeed the majority of people in a poll) choose to vote for a hero based solely on their place in a deck in some instances, well frankly, I think that's preferable to a FBTN hero winning every single category. It allows for better match ups. We've had a good balance of people voting for deck archetypes and for individual heroes up to this point, and I'm not sure why the camp who's been voting strictly for the better hero feels the need to be so vocal about their disdain for heroes like Armorbearer, who is still likely to be seen in more decks this season than Isaiah will. Now I voted for Isaiah, and I pride myself on the fact that Daniel beat Susie (who, if we were voted for the deck, should have won by a landslide), but realistically, if we were to vote just for decks, then Samuel, Angel Under the Oak, Mary the Mother of James, and Joseph should probably be in the top four, because they're the frontrunners in the best decks. Is that going to happen? Probably not (though it's possible). On the flip side, if we voted just for heroes, Ira, Benny, Captain of the Host, and TSA should all win. Will that happen? Nope, and I think we can all agree that what's happening now is preferable to either of those two outcomes.

Isaiah + Call puts a hurt on meta defenses. He can also be protected from capture with Caves. And then there's also a 9/11 bullet proof hero who can band to him.
-
the sheer fact daniel beat susanna makes my stomach turn. Daniel isn't that good, and what I mean by that is that he doesn't fit in a deck. People shouldn't be voting on heroes that have absolutlely no deck. And I voted for armorbearer because he's more my style of card.

Here's your problem. You're inviting cardboard to parties.

Other than fitting perfectly into both prophets and Daniel decks, yeah, I totally see your point.

I'm sure he meant actual good decks.

I haven't seen any evidence this season that Prophets or Teal/Green can't go toe-to-toe with straight TGT or WaterTomb this season. I haven't seen much evidence for it either, but prophets got a lot of help this set and TGT didn't get any, so I'm not convinced.

TGT has only ever needed (hurp durp) TGT. If you don't have a hard counter to that, proceed to scoop phase.

Whenever I've played TGT it has always been as icing on the cake. I use the super band and the enhancements. I rarely go for territory destruction and try to abuse TGT directly. I just sometimes end up getting an easy rescue with it.

My apologies. I didn't mean to step one anyone's toes who is actually voting for legitimate reasons (which there most definitely are for both of these candidates). I was poking fun at all the posts I saw in Round 1 where the only reason people posted was "because he helps/works with/is Sam." Not to say that isn't a valid reason, but on my personal scale I don't see how that alone makes any hero better than any other hero. That is all.
I voted for Isaiah, btw, because even without Call he's a great hero.

I still say Isaiah is overrated, but Armorbearer doesn't even deserve to be here. I would have voted for Simeon over Isaiah in a heartbeat.
