I voted baalam because he is a magician, can recur curses and can deal with the lack of initiative. Women of snares is either a home run or a flop... With CP, Camp, and house of rimon she just isn't as good anymore.

I've run Women as Snares as a splash and in a PG.  She didn't perform too well in either.

But when you pass Women as Snares, Coat of Many Colors, and Gomer everyone knows you have Falling Away, so they put that Guardian they drafted in their deck.

Except I knew I wouldn't get a Guardian, so I took TWO Women as Snares.

I voted Balaam because 1)  I can band to him and basically make a big "FBTN except banding" block.  2)  Women as Snares is great if you're in the lead, but otherwise I don't like giving my opponent a bunch more lost souls to rescue (She does devastate demons though, which cannot be redeemed now).

Balaam is so much better. How is he not winning?

Every time Balaam blocks you can get Confusion of Mind out of your discard pile and play it.  Then you're a 6/13 EC in a battle where none of your opponent's character or enhancements work.  That's awesome!

Yeah, I don't understand how Balaam's losing. The biggest defense of any FbtN EC (with CoM), and better identifiers than all of them.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I've had this happen to me before:

Your opponent can still discard two GEs or a dominant to discard CoM, often resulting in balaam dying.

oh cool, a poll.  How did you do that?  First time I've seen one of these on here.  There ought to be more!

Anyone else wondering if the REG listing should be posted for all these characters in these brackets?  I'm wondering if a lot of players who haven't seen/purcahsed the newer cards are voting without knowing the special abilities of the newer cards.

Just something to consider for next year's tournament.
