A hero drawing three has the edge in my opinion.  He can do wonders on the draw.

Yeah, a hero that draws a negatable three, isn't going to get inish, and has only 3-4 enhancements that are helpful on him. FSP can play tons of draw cards, if they make it BTN, he has 3 brigades to own them with, and protects souls.

...and doesn't help Thaddeus at all.

4/4 doesn't help at all with BTN.  Bring Thomas in and you've got CBN Reach + Whatever you want.

If you're playing a disciples deck, Fishing Boat is more helpful than Matthew, and Thaddeus, James, John, Simon the Zealot, and Andrew are all you need to attack with.

I chose Matthew because D3 is insane in a game where you are digging for 1 card to win the game, where as you can attack with FSP and i not even block for you to play any GE.

Tied up. I do Matthew because of versatility and more than 1 per deck.

MATTHEW BECAUSE OF VERSATILITY? IT'S AGAINST ONE OF THE MOST VERSATILE PEOPLE IN THE GAME!!!

Matt + Thomas = one of the nastiest bands ever.

Bands that are more nasty:
Claudia + FSP
Jacob + Captain
Simeon + Captain
(more captain bands)
James + John
James + Thad

There are waay worse bands. Matt and Thomas gives easy inish to your opponent with only two interrupts.

James and Thad are only good if you have more of the boys out...I have won many a game with early Matt and Thomas available and usually get a reach or My Lord and my God when I draw if I didn't already have in my hand before making the rescue. Faithful servant may be useful for type 1, but not for type 2...he could take forever to get ahold of...

Except the banding would be negated. Oops. Looks like you better get an AoCP.

I'm assuming we're talking about T1...that might be something to be good to clarify.

You block with BTN, and "kick" Matt out?  Ok, I have initiative to CBN interrupt your negate of my banding and CBN whatever I want.  No promo necessary.  Who's going to block with FBTN when I have Thomas?

I thought Matti banded to Thomas, not vice versa. My mistake.
