Why is Moses played? Because of the Simeon band. There's a reason people don't play Ira and Benaiah, but play Moses, and that reason is Simeon.

Except Jacob can't also band to Aaron to do the same thing. Nor can he band to Isaiah. Or Daniel. You get where I'm going with this.

Moses was being played in these decks before Oak got the prophet identifier, he just got way better, whereas Simeon wasn't used at all before that point. When it comes down to it, if Simeon didn't exist, Moses would still see heavy play. If Moses didn't exist, Simeon would likely not make the cut in most decks. Moses wins.
