1. Samuel
4/4 Gold/Green (prophet, judge)
Negate play abilities. You may search deck for King Saul or David and put it in play to draw 2. May band to a male I Samuel Hero. Cannot be negated.
Versus
4. Simeon
7/6 Gold (Prophet)
Hero may band to any good prophet.

Ehud. CTB is just too good.
Sam has a (essentially) one-time D2 (if you even get that to go off right), negates play abilities (which hurts him for HT), and can band (which makes Edict no longer CBN). The main power of Sam is that he can use Edict CBN and has a sometimes-D2.
Ehud, on the other hand, allows you to CTB even if the opponent has Wall in play, and has plenty of support still for him even without a CBN Edict.
Ehud wins this one for me, hands-down.

apology reworked the seeding of some brackets to fit original bracketing instead of cross seeding

Okay, so this one changed in who Sam is facing, but my verdict still stands: against Sam.
He is great, don't get me wrong, but Simeon is just so much more useful and goes into more decks. Being a Luke hero doesn't hurt, either.

trying to make new brackets and this poll needs a tie breaker vote anyone wanna make the final call . . otherwise ill go based on seed and Samuel will advance
Sam will advance based on seeding
