4. Michael (ki)
12/8 Silver (Angel) (W/C)
Enhancements played with Michael cannot be negated.
Versus
5. Gabriel (I/J)
10/10 Silver (Angel, Prophet)
You may search discard pile for a silver enhancement.

Michael is awesome; silver enhancements, in general, are not. Okay, you Gather (http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Gathering_of_Angels_%28Wa%29) a Michael with WWW (http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Wheel_Within_a_Wheel_%28FF2%29) and Angel's Sword (http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Angel%E2%80%99s_Sword_%28Ki%29) on him with a Striking Herod (or whatever) in hand and everyone cries (well...unless you do this to me at Nats, say, and I just Canaan (http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Canaan_%28RA2%29) him right away to discard the placed cards and capture him forever...hehehehehe...). But while he is scary, he needs a lot of support and the right silver enhancements to do anything.
Gabriel, however, is a royal pain in the butt. Stupid combo-making Gabriel here can cause all kinds of havoc if played right, even if it is just speeding through your deck or recurring awful cards that can be used to block in a certain combo... With the limited enhancement choices for silver, bringing them back is awful. Meaning good. Meaning annoying.

Gabriel, My favorite Card to annoy with in possibly the whole game, He can bring back Covenant /w Eden as it is silver, and with The fifth seal and Chamber, your Heroes and silver enhancements are recurable.

I'm going to have to agree with Redoubter that Gabriel is pretty great and he played a vital part in my semi-successful infini-block T2. Plus, even in the Michael situation, it's going to be Mike's owner that's going to cry once I block with Woman of Thebez, Lots Wife, Damsel, Gomer, or Foreign Wives and he realizes that Striking Herod says "male". :P
Vote: Gabriel.

I love this match up brutal choice and I can see the winner giving AutO a potential run. I'm going Gabriel here.

Gabe.

Michael win on every thing but giving Support.

I've yet to see an effective T1 deck with Gabriel (I/J).
There were at least 2 Michaels in the top 8, probably more like 4. Michael is better.

That's because you play T1, as you indicated in your first statement. Playing T2, Gabriel is far better.

I can agree with that, but somehow I doubt the majority of the forums are T2 players, which is why I'm baffled at the current standings.

I can agree with you there. A bit surprised.
Still, Michael never scares me in T1 or T2, where Gabriel just makes me mad constantly.

I am extremely suprized at this, but love the outcome!

Michael exists solely as a character who Daniel can band to. He doesn't actually contribute anything other than numbers and maybe someone to play Wheel or Call on, which Gabriel can do as well. I like Gabriel's recursion more than that.

CBN Live Coal is phenomenal. As is CBN Striking Herod. As is stopping Nebuchadnezzar.
-
Coal I can see, but I'll never justify putting in Striking Herod in the current meta. Wives, Gomer, and Woman of Thebez are all too popular for me to bother. Daniel negates Neb on his own; Michael has nothing to do with that. I mean, Daniel is obviously amazing, but this isn't about him. I would rather have the Daniel Gabriel to have a chance at removing an evil enhancement than Michael.

That Gabriel doesn't matter. Besides, Naz is way too prevalent for him.
Game 1 of Nationals 2013. I don't draw Daniel, but I draw Michael. My opponent is playing Babylonians. 5-0.

There aren't enough superlatives to describe how incredible Michael is
