Scribe is good, but TAS can fit in any deck, and Soul Generation is key with the new rules.

Am slave is both soul-gen and search, and fits into every non-demon deck.  There are very few evil characters I would consider close to that in terms of usefulness.

Not necessarily. Ammy Slave is like a negatable Unknown Nation. It can get whoever you need. Scribe recursion is nice though.

As an EC I would say Scribe is far better because of his recursion.  TAS has a nice search but a lot of times I don't get to use it.

My favorite move with Am Slave was to search for ANOTHER EC who will die and self-capture into opp's territory, then play Martyr, Grapes, or Burial to end their rescue attempt.  Am Slave all the way.

Scribe has single handedly won T2 games.  Am Slave is meh in T2.  Scribe wins.
