The Amalekites’ Slave
If blocking, you may place this card in opponent's Land of Bondage to search your deck for a human Evil Character and add it to battle.

Egyptian Magicians
Reveal the top or bottom card of your deck. If it is evil, add it to hand and draw 1, or add it to battle. May band to an Egyptian. Cannot be interrupted.

Tough choice but I think me gets more blocks and creating one soul isn't strong enough to beat EM.

TAS is far more splashable in my opinion, and EM isn't likely to make the cut in Magicians splash unless it's pretty dedicated Magicians defense, since Manny and Damsel are both superior and Users can play any color enhancement (meaning access to brown and grey). It has a decent ability, but it's rarely going to win battles, so his main sticking point is being a magician, which is good, but not enough to beat access to brown enhancements, soul gen, and searching out any EC in your deck (which got a whole lot better thanks to Wives).

I'm not sure what you mean, since EM is pretty much the best Magician for combos.  Invoking Terror, for example, but that's not where it ends.  You can Spirit of Temptation to place things down there for him to use, or Bronze Laver.  He's also smaller for being able to actually play, as opposed to Damsel, Manny, and Users.

I never run Magicians in any number without EM, and I take him over several others.

Invoking Terror, Spirit of Temptation, and Bronze Laver aren't going to be found in splash magicians. The way I've generally seen it played is in defenses that already have a magician (Egyptians and anything with Manny, generally), then just add Damsel and Charms. In a more fully-fledged magicians defense, there's more space, and EM might even be the ideal block in a lot of circumstances, but I think full-fledged magicians (or Egyptians) is outclassed in T1 right now, which means the only time it's going to be used is in splash magicians (where I think Damsel's drawing and Manny's auto-block are both better), and in splash defenses, where I think TAS has the upper-hand. EM might be slightly better, but I think TAS is more flexible and will be seen in more decks.

TAS is I think better but that may be because of use in two deck types I like to play:

In a speed offense, there is not much more important then soul gen cards, especially with the new Dom rules.

And in a heavy defense deck or combo deck (often overlap here) like a Samaria defense, it is extremely useful to be able to search out someone like Ahab to get Gates as soon as possible.

I like Egyptian Magicians but don't see it playing as important a role.
