Silver
1. Angel Under the Oak
8/8 Silver (angel, prophet)
You may draw 2 and exchange this Hero with a gold Judge in your hand, deck, territory, or discard pile. Protect Gideon from opponents. Cannot be negated.
Versus
Gold
2. Moses (wa)
8/8 Gold (Judge, Prophet, Musician)
All special abilities on character cards and enhancement cards except this one are interrupted and prevented. Battle is determined by the numbers.

This one is tough. AutO allows speed, and pulls out great characters afterwards. However, without Moses, would the exchange be nearly as good? Not really. Sam bands are good, but Moses is 'the guy' and seals the banding chains involving AutO, and is the best option for exchange. On the other hand, without AutO, Moses would be much less powerful, as he would only have FBTN and a couple of judges enhancements that are CBP/CBN on him; there are plenty of FBTN characters that can already end a band.
This one is also tough. I haven't made up my mind yet, and I feel each hero is dependent on the other for a lot of their power.

I couldn't hear you over the sound of how good both Gideon, Ehud, and Jair are. Without AUtO, relying on FBTN is better done with classic FBTNB than it is with anything involving Moses. AUtO loses some power without Moses, but is still top tier.

Yeah for me AUTO has Moses + a bag of other judges tricks and d2 whereas Moses just has himself, and can't even do his big FBTN bands without AUTO. Gotta give this one to the angel.
-
Don't forget that moses now has access to dedicate the temple thanks to the new set :-)
Also Secret Name performs a very similar function for moses I know he cant go to territory but its still a good option at times.
Personally I gotta go with moses just because he is ruled a musician.

Simeon

Auto

Simeon
Even if Simeon was in this round, AUtO is still a better hero.

Moses, he is a judge, and AwsN can use him to play CBN judges enhancements like Capturing Canaan, Shagmar's Oxgoad, and other good ones that came with the new set.

I went Moses . . . He wins battles and auto is more of a reusable enhancement.

Moses doesn't win battles. Moses + other people wins battles. Since Moses doesn't really have any consistent way in and of himself to band/ add to battle with others he can't be counted on to do much of anything on his own except die...

In 2012 t2 nats, out side of the unified kingdom play Moses alone won most of my rescues.
I'd say he accounted for 25% this is an estimation but it's pretty accurate. One game he actually got to 11/11 alone. Also when was the last time auto won you a battle when he was a lone hero. Personally I can only think of 2 instances where auto won me a battle. Once it was bc an added on enhancement (www) gave him site access and the other was that charms was my opponents only block. I knew because I had shuffled his whole handoff BtC.
Moses on the other hand has won countless battles alone for me with out a band or enhancement. Lots of times. Not to mention AwaSN to Moses, Eli's sound advice and Aaron to Moses.

Auto may not win games on his own, but he can drastically change them. So many games are decided by being one or two cards away from SoG NJ and Auto gets you to those cards a lot faster than you normally would. Auto is effectively a D2 Moses because he can fetch Moses from the deck or discard pile in addition to bullet proof Gideon, being able to draw four with Jair, and grab Sam. How useful would Moses be if you couldn't get him out soon enough because you didn't have Auto. While Moses makes Auto better, he already is amazing without him and Moses wouldn't be no where near as good without Auto.

Death to AutO!
-
As AJ said, Auto might as well read as having the special ability of every single Judge in every single one of your zones everywhere. Coupled with the cyclical d2 and cbn protection, it pushes the overall impact and threat density of a deck astronomically. Moses has always been good, but he was nowhere on the tier that he is now without Auto.

I'm not really sure why people are comparing the Heroes' abilities to win battles. AuTO doesn't win battles, but he also wasn't designed to. He's an intermediary Hero to get you whatever other Hero you want for that situation, he was never meant to stay in battle. That makes it harder to compare to Moses (who IS designed to stay in battle, or at least be banded in for FBTN) but basically invalidates any "this one is better at winning battles" argument.
That said, I voted for Moses simply because his FBTN can catch opponents off guard (whether he remains in battle or not) and has often won me battles without needing enhancements. Moses also fits in more offenses (I have him in my Green/Teal offense specifically for use with Aaron) whereas AuTO is pretty much pigeon-holed into offenses that are mostly or completely judges. Of course I'm biased because I don't think I've ever played a judges-focused offense to really make use of AuTO. :P
